One More!

See?  I’ve not completely left, but I am attempting to devote more time to researching and focusing on the “In Whose Name” page for now (although faint, there’s actually a drop down menu of sorts if you hover your cursor over it).

family-67652_640

The world isn’t such a big place anymore, and many of us can reach out to others around the globe through a simple keyboard. If we can do little else,  we can at least help spread awareness from one corner of the globe to another.  When enough people wake up and become rightfully, righteously angry, then we can achieve great things.

We need to do something – because humanity and our earth won’t heal themselves with our world left, as it currently is, in the hands of stupid, greedy, insane, unscrupulous, power mongers who simply don’t care about humanity or our planet, and who refuse to see past the ends of their own snouts – snouts, I hasten add, that live and grow fat off the misery, labor and poverty of others; snouts that keep the masses cleverly enslaved in debt and would ensure that no one ever has more than enough to meet their needs, if they continued to have their way – which they won’t. Not for much longer.

Governments in general have demonstrated their inability to be trusted. When a government treats its own people as ‘the enemy’, choking them with ridiculous laws and taxes in order to ‘bring them to heel’, then they’ve given up both their reason and their right to govern.

When politicians, Presidents and Prime Ministers forget that they’re servants of the public, not it’s masters, then they’ve given up the right to be in office; they serve none but themselves.

And, in the words of James Cameron’s Avatar character, Jake Sully, “This is how it’s done. When people are sitting on shit that you want, you make ‘em your enemy. Then you justify taking it”.

When governments develop every deceitful trick under the sun to instigate war on their neighbor in order to justify stealing their natural resources, then they’ve lost their sanity and humanity and have no right to positions of responsibility and authority.

When governments allow drug companies to pay doctors per number of prescriptions they peddle, instead of forcing them to earn a regular wage like everyone else, then they’re essentially saying, “we don’t care what happens to you”, the people are not receiving honest health care, and a corrupt and unaccountable health system ensues.  Such governments no longer deserve to be in power and need to be dismantled. And they will be.

When we, the people, habitually make purchases that encourage unscrupulous businesses to keep our fellow humans enslaved in endless cycles of misery, poverty and murder, when we don’t speak out and overthrow dishonest, treacherous, murderous governments,  politicians and religious leaders, when we don’t dismantle military establishments to put our money where our mouths are and declare that we choose to trust each other and live in peace, then we deserve nothing better than what we’ve already got.

We need to wake up, rise up, and force change, because it’s not going to happen any other way. We are our own saviors. Not just some of us. All of us.  And if we’re to be that, then as a race of beings, we also need to put aside religious differences and work together, otherwise, the supremely stupid will keep calling the shots and innocent lives will continue to be lost.

Thank you, amigos, for your continued support and friendship – and long live WP :)

The Final Post

Well, folks, it’s friends-to-the-end-but-this-is-the-end-my-friend, time.  Well, not exactly,  but it is time to hang up my hat for this particular blog – at least on the subject of religion. There’s only so much one can say about the oppressive evils of religion – particularly when it’s in bed with politics and joined by many in the new age community in doomsday idiocy and fear-mongering.  (Oh, don’t let me get started again!)

I think my points have been more than adequately made :)

And so, temporary farewell hugs are in order (I’ll be back with another blog down the track)…

GOODBYE HUGS

Photo thanks to RayMorris1

Thank you to all who supported me and patiently put up with my anti-religious rants, for the wonderful new friends made, and the s**ts n giggles along the way.

Should any poor sod happen to stumble upon this blog and feel the need to share their own religious rants with an empathetic – and slightly wacky - stranger, I’m still reachable at myheathenheart [@] gmail dot com, though it may take me a day or three to reply, so please be patient.

In parting, for those who might be feeling as though life is just one big steaming pile of crap, I’d heartily point you once again in the direction of my dear friend, Jennifer Shepherd’s LipstickMystic.com blogsite, and, in particular, her newly released book, The Lipstick Mystic’s Guide to Healing the Time Body and Finding The Best Possible Timeline (While Others Do The Apocalypso Dance), with over 500 utterly absorbing pages.

It’s not just an excellent ‘how-to’ manual for setting yourself free from crap you possible didn’t even know was holding you down and out, including much of the ridiculous new age and religious crap (and then some), but it’s also, in my view, potentially the most potent and practical weapon you could ever add to your arsenal.

It’s also brilliantly, simply and humorously written.

For the doubtful, I’d urge suspension of disbelief until you’ve read it from cover to cover and made use of the advice given.  For those who find parts of the book heavy going, please don’t give up.  Push through – you’ll be so glad you did!

Thank you again, everyone.

I wish us all the freedom mankind has only dreamed of, and the supreme peace, creativity and liberty that will surely accompany it.

Between Religious & Political Tyranny

Photo: honikum

It defies comprehension that humanity should still be suffering under tyranny, both religious (albeit to a marginally lesser extent than in the past) and political.

In his comprehensive and well written article, Religion Against Humanity, Wole Soyinka states, in part, “While it should be mandatory that states justify their place as members of a world community by educating their citizens on the entitlement of religion to a place within society, and the obligations of mutual acceptance and respect, it should be deemed unacceptable that the world is held to ransom for the uneducated conduct of a few, and placed in a condition of fear, apprehension, leading to a culture of appeasement.”

The world shouldn’t be “held to ransom for the uneducated conduct of a few”; he’s quite right.  But now, added to the ‘uneducated conduct of a few’, we have out-of-control political leaders – like Obama and his ‘wannabe’ boot-licker, the non-elected Gillard (an atheist and feminist when it suits her political agenda in any given moment) – using it as an excuse to exercise increasingly tyrannical regimes and state agendas.  Both are bullies and liars towards any who dares object to their regimes.

Where does religion end and politics begin? It seems to me that one provides an impetus for the other.

I want to include a reminder of the definitions of crimes against humanity, as posted on the Washington University in St Louis School of Law site.

Please, if you’ve an inclination and the time to do so, read through it and then ask yourself four questions:

1  Why are we letting things get out of hand in our world?

2  What are we going to do to stop it?

3  Is my government guilty of crimes against humanity?

4  How many more tears of fear, grief and loss must humanity shed?

Imagine

Image with thanks to Dying Regime

Imagine, if you will, that you’re sitting at the table eating dinner with your family one evening when you hear a commotion outside.

You rush to a window and see a long line of military tanks rumbling slowly down the street. Masked faces of men with machine guns are bashing open doors and yanking terrified, screaming, children and their mothers outside. Dazed fathers, struggling to protect their families, receive the butt end of a gun in the face for their efforts.

Two of those tanks have now blocked your driveway, and you see a pair of armed thugs storming towards your own door. There’s no time to do anything but huddle your family close together and wait.

Confusion and turmoil have engulfed your nation. Your home, car, property, bank accounts, assets, passports, birth certificates, laptops, pc’s, mobile phones – even your livelihood – have all been confiscated. Permanently.

You find yourselves shunted from one refugee-style camp to another until, after several long weeks, you’re dumped on a reservation of sorts, where you’re permitted to ‘exist’. Everyone is branded with a number – even newborns. Your stomach heaves, hearing the screams of children and babies receiving their scorching brands.

The only information you’re given, is that another country invaded yours, and that you and your fellow countrymen are perceived to be ‘just dumb natives’. Someone may come to collect a few of you, on occasion, who could be useful as free labour for the new regime; those with trades, in particular.

In the meantime, every man, woman and child will now be subjected to the regime’s religious dogma for several hours every day; non-compliance earns torture, followed by being burned alive.

You have one day to say goodbye to your children before they’re taken away from you and sold off as household slaves for your new overlords and their settlers. Babies will be removed to orphanage facilities nationwide until they’re old enough to be sold as slaves.

Sound familiar? Don’t think it could happen in the 21st century?  Don’t think it could happen to you?

Wake up, little vegemites.  Pay attention.  Look around.  Take notes.  Ask questions.

Ignorance makes a poor defence.

Failure to Prosecute War Crimes Is a War Crime Itself

Reblogged from ashheapo:

While most Americans were focused on the awful mass killing at Sandy hook Elementary School, an important story flew under the media radar. George W. Bush and key ;members of his administration were convicted in absentia of war crimes at a tribunal in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The crimes that George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, fromer Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld and five White House lawyers were convicted could all apply to President Barack Obama and his administration.

RE: A Terse Explanation for the Finite Nature of Religion

Reblogged from Random Rationality:

Both Heathen Heart and R.L. Culpeper have written a few posts between themselves discussing, and respectfully disagreeing on the endgame of religion. So now I'm turning it into a chain-mail of posts by adding my two cents (and that's probably all it's worth) in response to Culpeper's post, linked here. It's written as a comment, but I'm adding it here because I needed to insert links as references  and it's also quite long (for a comment at least).

Idle No More

Thanks to Perry Bulwer for directing my attention to this series of articles, and although reading through them made me vomit (quite literally), the messages within them aren’t just ‘tall tales’ of the crimes of christendom and governments against Aboriginal peoples in Canada; they’re the harsh, very raw, simple facts.

Australia holds it’s own shame, that of The Stolen Generations (click the link to read the full fact sheet).

Image thanks to electricnerve

The traditional Aboriginal peoples of Australia and Torres Straight Island have fared no better than those of other continents; it’s just that their stories, to date, have rarely been told and when they have, it’s generally been to minimal audiences soon drowned out by a media that couldn’t care less, generally focused on half-truths and commercialism.

Although the ‘real’ Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd (because I refuse to acknowledge the cowardly traitor who stabbed him in the back and stole his job), did at least attempt some form of reconciliation, a simple ‘Sorry Day’ really fixes nothing.

I’ve never doubted that Kevin Rudd’s heart and intentions were in the right place; the methodology was just incomplete and lacking real, effectual, substance. Still, I applaud him for publicly acknowledging what no other gutless political wonder ever dared publicly acknowledge before; the stolen generations and the continued plight of Australian and Torres Straight Islander Aboriginal people.

It’s heartening to see that Idle No More has now hit Australia. May it be as powerful as an earthquake, as unstoppable as a tsunami, and as implacable in restoring balance as their tormentors were in destroying it.

Let’s see how long it takes for the Hallelujah Brigades and their ‘lovers’ – politicians and their untrustworthy parties – to ‘be seen to be on the right side of the fence’, mouthing typically artificial platitudes, empty promises and attempts at ‘doing deals’ to protect their vested interests.

The Great Harlot and Her Johns

BloodyReligion

Image with thanks to Kell Bailey

Wikipedia:

Pre-Reformation views

Dante equated the corruption and simony in the office of the Papacy with the Whore of Babylon in Canto 19 of his Inferno:

Di voi pastor s’accorse il Vangelista,

quando colei che siede sopra l’acque

puttaneggiar coi regi a lui fu vista…

(Shepherds like you the Evangelist had in mind when he saw the one that sits upon the waters committing fornication with the kings.)

Reformational View

Historicist interpreters commonly used the phrase “Whore of Babylon” to refer to the Roman Catholic Church. Reformation writers from Martin Luther (1483-1546) (who wrote On the Babylonian Captivity of the Church), John Calvin (1509–1564), and John Knox (1510–1572) (who wrote The First Blast of the Trumpet Against the Monstrous Regiment of Women) taught this association.

The Roman Catholic Church denies the claim that it is being referred to by the Book of Revelation as the Whore of Babylon.

Well, of course it does…

Most early Protestant Reformers believed, and the modern Seventh-day Adventist Church teaches, that in Bible prophecy a woman represents a church.  ”I have likened the daughter of Zion To a lovely and delicate woman.” (Jeremiah 6:2 nkjv) A harlot, it is argued, is representative of a church that has been unfaithful:

“Go, take yourself a wife of harlotry
And children of harlotry,
For the land has committed great harlotry
By departing from the LORD.” (Hosea 1:2 nkjv)

They also believed that the primary location of this unfaithful church is stated in the same chapter.

“And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the  kinds of the earth.” (Revelation 17:18)

The connection noted above on the seven hills of Rome is argued to locate the church.

Identification of the Pope as the Antichrist was written into Protestant creeds such as the Westminster Confession of 1646. The identification of the Roman Catholic Church with the Whore of Babylon is kept in the Scofield Reference Bible (whose 1917 edition identified “ecclesiastical Babylon” with “apostate Christendom headed by the Papacy“).”

Not that I’m under any illusions concerning the ‘spiritual authenticity’ of the bible (c’mon, it’s fiction at best, and poetic, melodramatic, prose at worst), but as least it’s final book of revelation was honest enough to define the criminal institutions it would create.

It goes on to say of the JWits (amongst others):

“Jehovah’s Witnesses believe that the Whore of Babylon represents “the world empire of false religion”, referring to all elements of worldly religions that do not adhere to biblical truth as published by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WTS) and as interpreted and defined by the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses  (the institutional and leadership organizations of Jehovah’s Witnesses).

This includes, but is not limited to, Christendom a term they use to refer to “professed Christianity” (Nominal Christianity) as opposed to “true Christianity”. Jehovah’s Witnesses literature often mentions the Catholic religion when discussing The Great Harlot of Babylon, and the subsequent attack on her by the political powers, signalling the beginning of the “great tribulation”.

Oh, please! Who are the Jwits to point the finger at any other religion for representing “worldly religions that do not adhere to biblical truth as published by…” their entirely non-biblical publications of utter rubbish and bunk created by mere men?

Protip: The jwits are every bit “the whore of Babylon” and ‘the great harlot’ as the catholic church and every other sect.

They do not follow the original King James Version of the bible, having, in fact, ‘edited’ the old and new testaments to ‘conform’ to the same mental illness as the creator of their sick, murderous, and loathsome cult.

Should they claim that they were ‘inspired by god to do so’, you can quite rightfully call them hypocrites and liars, because they also preach that “god does not talk to humans” and that any who claim otherwise, are “demonized”.

The whore, the vATiCaN of Evil (and all Christendom), is adorned in blood that never touched her conscience, bedecked in jewels and wallowing in great wealth stolen from the sweat and toil of those she’s enslaved and kept in poverty. And still, she spreads her legs for ‘the great kings’, her ‘johns’ (political leaders), seducing them to her demented way of thinking, ensuring slavery of the masses and encouraging an increasing gap between rich and poor.

There shall be no pity when She and her lovers are stripped bare, their self-styled power, mocked and crushed, when they’re thrown in the streets to be spat on by their victims, both living and dead, and left for the crows to feast upon.  (Metaphorically-speaking, of course.)

What Is Made, Can Be Unmade

R.L. Culpeper made a valid point in his comment on my post, Opiate of Fear and Ignorance and I feel it deserves more attention.

He commented (in part):

“…I believe religion will never release its hold on humanity, but I believe we train it to be more tolerant and semi-openminded…”

I agree with him, up to a point.

While we may well be training religion to be more tolerant and semi open-minded, I can’t help but see it as just another nail in religion’s own coffin. First comes tolerance, necessitating the relaxing of standards and demands of religion; eventually comes the complete disintegration of standards and demands, then comes total abandonment.

Major changes, particularly on a global scale, always hasten slowly. It’s difficult to imagine such an enormous change as the death of all religion, occurring overnight.

Please note that I refer only to ‘religion’ per se, not spirituality. (To view my perceptions on the difference between the two, please refer to this post, You Don’t Need Religion To Be Spiritual).

That religion has enjoyed a very tight hold (read ‘stranglehold’) on humanity for centuries, there’s absolutely no doubt.

That there has never before in history been such free and ready access to information, research, studies, science, and archaeological information on the origins of religion, there is also absolutely no doubt.

Children and teens worldwide (mostly) now have access to the internet, whether religion likes it or not. Tomorrow’s young adults, not already infected with religious diseases, will join tomorrow’s youth and together build a world free of religious tyranny.

It may not happen in our lifetime, but I believe it will happen. It seems inevitable, to me. Religion’s had it’s heyday of terror, growing fat off the toil of ‘slaves’ and prostituting itself in bed with politics, like the cheap whore it’s always been (no offence meant to the honourable profession of prostitution, either!).

It’s precisely because of the openly available plethora of information and research, thanks to the internet (I love you, Google!) expanding and growing in leaps and bounds every year, that the final death knell for all religion will be heard.

To be sure, religion won’t willingly loose its hold on humanity, but as with the dark days when it persecuted and burned billions of innocent lives in it’s push for supreme domination, so, too, will it meet it’s own ugly and timely end.

Already they flounder and scramble to recoup a respectability lost that was never earned. Already their flocks scatter and leave in droves. And the questions of how they’ve gotten away with dominance and tyranny for so long, just keep mounting – with growing discontent, if not malcontent.

Global religious abandonment will eventually follow in the shadow of trained tolerance and, at the risk of sounding poetic, it’s the youth of our world – today’s and tomorrow’s – that will bring in a new dawn.

At least, that’s my compass, my hope, my vision, and my personal belief.

There is nothing man has made, that cannot be unmade.

A time to change Time

Reblogged from the superstitious naked ape:

Dear secular friends, it’s time to change Time.

Reset the Gregorian calendar free of Christian references

Let’s be brutally honest: A.D 2013 is not only an entirely meaningless date to 6 out of 7 people on the planet, it is also a demonstrably erroneous one. The Common Era did not begin 2013 years ago. Nothing in fact took place in or around this period to mark even some minor shift in human civilisation, let alone a paradigmatic event worthy of partitioning epochs.

Opiate of Fear and Ignorance Pt 2

So what’s with the ‘opiate’ part of the title?

The Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery defines opiates (in part):

Also known as narcotics, opiates can be natural or synthetic….Heroin is an opioid manufactured from morphine. Heroin has no medicinal uses; it is used for its ability to give the user a feeling of euphoria.

Under ‘What Are The Warning Signs”, they state (in part):

When a person becomes dependent, finding and using the drug often becomes the main focus in life…”

This is religion; a synthetic, man-made, opioid, backed by politics and enforced over centuries, becoming the main focus in life for millions.  It has no basis in truth, facts, or evidence; it’s entirely artificial.

As such, this artificial, synthetic, drug, ‘religion’, is little more than the feared ‘bogeyman’ of childhood nightmares, successfully pushed, spoon-fed, and forced upon humanity – under pain of death – ensuring addiction. And with it (amongst countless other atrocities in general), the subjugation and slavery of women, the absolute denial of their natural gifts, healing powers, and sight, and the slaughter of their rightful place in humanity.

(Makes one wonder why christianity in particular, and religion in general, has always been so terrified of women.)

So now, humanity has come to need its fix of fear and artificially induced euphoria – because, let’s face it, one doesn’t come without the other. It reminds me of people who need a fix of fear by watching horror movies.

I believe religion is losing its power and hold over us as a race. The veil of religious ignorance and fear that’s blinded humanity for centuries, is now being seen for what it is. And although humanity may experience temporary withdrawal symptoms, for the most part, I believe we’re determined to be free of the chains of ignorance, fear and lies that bind – and that’s always a good thing.

Long live the internet, the sciences, archaeology and, most of all, humanity.

I believe in us.

Opiate of Fear and Ignorance

It’s not a new story, but I’ll briefly touch upon it anyway (although it leads one to wonder why we keep preaching to the converted).

There’s no need to quote fictional bible passages that have no place in a world of reasoning and logic.

My Aunt and Uncle were obliged to turn their backs on their firstborn (they had 8 children) in order to appease nasty, psychologically-questionable individual(s) at the head of an evil organization. Their son, my cousin, was a wonderful young man whose only crime was an inquiring mind and a thirst for knowledge, who excelled scholastically because he had a passion for learning. He was academically gifted.

“What did he do wrong?”, you might well ask. He wanted to graduate from high school and go on to college.  A full education is satan’s influence, apparently.  Indeed, I was reefed out of school at 15 for the same reason; armageddon’s coming, education beyond legal requirements is turning your back on god, and scholastic education is always unimportant.

But he stuck to his guns. I admired him; I was anything but academically-oriented (not surprising when your parents move so frequently, you’re forced to attend 33 schools in 15 years from two different sides of the globe). And I thought he was kind of cute, too, even if he was blind as a bat without his black-rimmed glasses.

Well, they had to turn their backs on him, really; after all, he’d been baptised as one of them and once you do that, they own your sorry ass, so they’re (apparently) entitled to throw their entire Arsenal of Ignorance at you.

My Aunt and Uncle lost so much love they never knew because of religious stupidity and pride. They never met their new daughter-in-law, nor their beautiful little granddaughter. Aunt and Uncle both died with stubborn, stupid, religious fear and ignorance governing their hearts, minds and lives.

It happened to me, too, but not for long, because it was only a few years later that my mother came to her senses. She told them where to shove it – preferably sideways.

So how do they do it? How do the JWits manage to control so many minds with sheer, bullying ignorance, and twist it into a controlling mechanism?

It’s pretty easy, really. You repeatedly brainwash people by expounding your own fictional writings 3 times a week, forbid them from associating socially with anyone outside of their ‘fold’, and encourage your fictional works to be ‘light’ conversation at all your religious social gatherings.

Then, when someone breaks the rules you created, you make an example of them by telling the congregation that the ‘criminal’ is going to be murdered by their god for daring to be human, and that they must all now turn their backs on said ‘criminal’ forthwith, until the ‘elders’ decide when – and if – they might be returned to the fold.

No one likes being left out in the cold. No one likes being shunned by an entire group – especially when the ‘entire group’ has been all you’ve been permitted to associate with; without them, you’ve got no one.

It’s basic schoolyard behaviour that the JWits have crafted into an art form. The vATiCaN had an amazing control mechanism with their ‘hell’ invention; fear works wonderfully well when blended with fiction (lies) and ignorance.

How, in this 21st century, are bullying tactics still legally allowed to flourish? I mean, we don’t allow that kind of behaviour in schools, so why is it acceptable in an adult world? Isn’t all of life a school, after all?

In parting, I’m going to ‘dabble’ in my own ‘prophesying’ talents; let’s see how the fear mongers ‘like them apples’, as my mum would say:

MyHeathenHeart’s Prophesy - 21st January, 2013:

“Religion shall create its own doom.  The day approaches when Science, Archaeology, and the Laws of Physics have thoroughly debunked the lies of men, and humanity is set free of religious tyranny. In fear and confusion, men and women of the cloth seek to hide from their crimes, and they shall find no succour; their way is blocked by Truth.”

A $3 Billion Class Action Against the JW’s?

Oh really?

It’s a pity, but understandable, that one of my sisters chose oblivion; she turned to crack to help block the horrific memories of what one JW paedophile did to her. Repeatedly.

All the money in the world won’t erase that – not for her, not for my baby sister (who was just 3 years old when she was molested by the same person), and most certainly not for the countless kids and teens who’ve been raped and abused at the hands of the JW’s – or any religion, for that matter. And it certainly does absolutely nothing for those who took their own lives because they couldn’t escape it, either.

Oh, we know religious child molesters aren’t limited to the JW’s – the ‘vATiCaN’ seems to breed them like fleas.  What is it about putting a frock on a bloke, ‘ordaining’ him into the Order of BS, and giving him a parish full of trusting children people?

Since when has a single inquiry, study or lawsuit, ever fixed anything, save employing a few more people to handle extra mountains of soon-forgotten paperwork?

In any event, I never did understand why lawmakers thought a fine fixes everything. What’s the money actually for, anyway? A token gesture? For whose benefit?

Is it meant to make religious corporations – like the JW’s and the vATiCaN – ensure it’s prevented from occurring again? It won’t – let’s not be daft.

Conscience money? Why? So criminal-breeding religious corporations can feel like they purchased a ‘clean slate’ and now it’s back to business as usual, just like ‘confession’? That sounds about right.

A small sense of vengeance for those do-gooders who haven’t a clue what growing up with that kind of soul-destroying, demoralizing, terrifying, personal hell is like in the first place? That sounds about right, too.

Glory for the legal firm/lawyer who single-handedly brings down an entire religious corporation? Yep, that has a ring of believability, as well.

Or do lawmakers, judges and juries expect it to magically erase the lifelong memories and horrors from the minds of the victims, just because they’ve been publicly validated and vindicated? Let’s not be simpletons.

In the end, everyone but the victims of these heinous crimes benefits.

But let’s not be too cynical! There is a small positive, I suppose, insofar as it’s bad publicity for JW’s – in fact, for religion in general. It could make things just that little bit harder for them to dodge the dogs that will now be unchained when they go door knocking. They might find fewer folks actually opening doors to them anymore.  They might find that it’s just that little bit tougher to preach convincingly, to those whose privacy they’re invading, that they’re better than everyone else because they’re ‘god’s chosen ones’.

Which, in turn, brings another downside, because, yet again, their kids are going to suffer the humiliation of it at school – as if being the kid of a jw isn’t punishment enough, now they’re going to have to endure even more taunts – “your parents are pedos ‘cuz they’re JW’s!”

The wrong ones suffer, and victims just keep piling up. Sigh.

JW’s always had a policy that the paedophiles within their ranks took clever advantage of. The policy was this, in a nutshell, “if two or more didn’t see it happen, then it didn’t happen”. Tough luck, kiddies.  Tell me that’s not an open invitation to destroy children for life!

And these monsters really believe their church will protect them from an outraged world? Nuh-uh. Not anymore. Not if churches are forced out of business, thanks to the bad publicity they keep bringing upon themselves, public outrage, lack of interest, total loss of ignorant ‘blind faith’ and, most importantly, the resulting lack of funds.

The damages to a molested child don’t suddenly or simply end with the perpetrator being caught and punished.  No; there’s far more long term damage than many might care to consider.

Believe me, please, when I tell you that it removes your ability to trust yourself, your instincts, and your intuition, particularly when every time you desperately tried reaching out to an adult for help, you were beaten, cut down, and labelled “a liar” by those who needed to protect their sensibilities and vested interests, pretending such things didn’t happen.

It makes you look – and feel – like worthless, untrustworthy, lying, filth in your own eyes, your self-esteem plummets, and by the time you realize you’re spiralling out of control in a perpetual cycle of self-loathing and self-punishment, there’s nothing you can do to change it. You give up entirely. You find ways to try and forget; drugs, drink, living on the edge, flirting with death. You find ways to keep people at arm’s length. You can never quite see yourself as worthy of human kindness, love, and decency again, no matter how many people tell you otherwise. It just doesn’t sink in. It doesn’t ‘wash’. You’re branded for life – from within.

Worst of all, you develop an inability to trust anyone in authority, and in your efforts to keep punishing your ‘undeserving self’, you also punish and hurt those you love, who want to help you. And in the end, those who vowed they could help you, give up, too, usually deciding that you’re just a ‘manipulator’ and ‘masochist’ because they failed in their well meaning attempts to help.  And in their inability to understand just how deeply the damage has infected your very soul, in utter frustration, they wash their hands of you and walk away; you feel justified, and the cycle continues.

The point is, child molestation isn’t finished just because the criminals’ institution paid a fine, the court hearing is over, and everyone’s gone home; the child carries horrific scars for the rest of his/her life (provided they don’t commit suicide first), and those scars are often so deeply scorched into their very core, that it’s almost impossible for anyone to reach them. Few have the kind of patience, compassion and selfless love it would take to do so.

I was 7 when this crap started happening in my family. A ‘respectable’ young (he was 19 at the time) JW attached himself to my family, offering his services as babysitter free of charge. My parents welcomed him with open arms. What parent wouldn’t? And because he was a ‘pioneer’ in the congregation, he could do no wrong. He surely must be as pure as the driven snow.

Yeah, he tried it on with me, but he didn’t count on my fiery little temperament and earned himself a pair of badly bruised shins for his efforts. He, in turn, left me with a threat that gave me nightmares for years to come; that he’d come back to chop me up into little pieces and flush me down the toilet if I ever told anyone.

It wasn’t until I was 14 and caught him with my two little sisters that I lost all fear of his threat and tried to alert my parents. To no avail. I was beaten for ‘lying’ and for “making seriously untruthful accusations against a highly respected man who was my elder” – even after my own mother caught him in the bathroom, with the door locked and my two little sisters with him! So I tried to alert the congregational elders. Also to no avail. They had that special rule again, you see: if two or more didn’t see it happen, then it didn’t happen”, which means you’re a liar – and a kids’ word accounts for nothing but a ‘wild imagination’.

The thing is, where does this litigation business stop in an area where it can’t possibly have any beneficial effect for victims? And if we’re all going to sue the JW’s (3 billion bucks is chump change to their boss), does that mean we can finally bankrupt the catholic church? Because that’s what would surely happen if every victim of the ‘men in frocks’ got together and began a class action of their own.

See where I’m going here?  Money doesn’t fix the problem. It erases nothing, it stops nothing.  Well ok, maybe in the case of the vATiCaN – if we can bankrupt that corporate monster, tattoo all their paedophiles on the forehead so they can’t hide, and then run their wrinkly, hairy, old asses out of town, it might be a good start!

Still doesn’t prevent the crime, though. It doesn’t erase the memories, it doesn’t heal the wounds and really, I’m not entirely sure what would, but I suspect forcing religions to pay business tax, and forcing their priests, ministers, elders, staff, whatever, to pay income tax, might be a good start. There’s some seedy excuses for humanity hiding behind churches who more than likely wouldn’t be there were it not for the tax-free lifestyle. Churches are, after all, family affairs – a veritable smorgasbord for paedophiles with positions of power within them.

So sue the JW’s for 3 billion dollars, by all means, but if society is going to do that, then it can’t, in all conscience, let the catholic church – or any other corporate institution – get away with it, either, or else society is making it clear that it’s only interested in the money, that it can’t see the victims for the shopping sprees it’s planning, and that the suffering of victims was in vain. All the riches of the catholic church can’t wash the filth away or heal the wounds.

vATiCaN of Evil

“Human beings are members of a whole,

in creation of one essence and soul.

If one member is afflicted with pain,

Other members uneasy will remain.

If you’ve no sympathy for human pain

The name of human you cannot maintain”

Sa’di – Persian Poet

If the following exposé doesn’t make your blood run cold, then there’s something terribly wrong:

The Vatican’s Holocaust

Sickening, isn’t it? Loathsome, vile, deplorable, disgusting, heinous, insidious, putrid, inhuman and unbelievably evil.

Why isn’t this book required reading in every high school instead of the inane pigswill of patriotic propaganda regurgitated from one generation to the next? (although it was called ‘World Cultures’ in my day.)

Why isn’t the empire of twisted, misogynistic, bitchy, pedophilic, papal men in dresses ripped wide open for all the world to plainly see? It’s already started; surely it can only snowball from here.

Back when my mother was religious (read “obedient, in subjection and subservient to” the JW’s), she used to call the catholic church “the great harlot” (I don’t know that I’d ascribe that tag to just one sect of christianity, though). I think she may have been referring to the fictional work of the bibles’ book of revelation. Whether her interpretation was what was intended, I neither know nor care, but it seems like a tailor-made tag for the debauched ‘dirty old men’s club’, to me.

While researching this theme, I came upon an enlightening post by Abdun Nur under a forum title of “Religion is a Crime Against Humanity” (couldn’t have said it better myself). Abdun has very kindly given me permission to quote his post below, dated November 28th, 2010:

“Salaam,

I have been researching history for a lecture on the ancient history of Britain I’m giving next year, in my title of this thread I’m stating every and all religions are a crime against humanity at large including the modern corruption they label Islam, the Deen of Islam has been lost to the majority by the deceptions and infections of 14 centuries, I find the investigation of Christianity interesting, it may explain some interesting aspects of modern Islam to some, I am still investigating; any new information to aid this is welcome, thanks, this is a little of what I have found out:

In 325 the First Council of Nicaea, the ecumenical council was convened by Constantine I, who had invited all 1800 bishops of the Christian church. “Resplendent in purple and gold, Constantine made a ceremonial entrance at the opening of the council, probably in early June, but respectfully seated the bishops ahead of himself.” (Carroll, 11) “proceeded through the midst of the assembly, like some heavenly messenger of God, clothed in raiment which glittered as it were with rays of light, reflecting the glowing radiance of a purple robe, and adorned with the brilliant splendor of gold and precious stones.” (Eusebius, The Life of the Blessed Emperor Constantine, Book 3, Chapter 10)

Constantine was an idolater who believed in the worship of the Sun God Sol Invictus, whom he regarded as the only God. He filled all the trappings of state, such as banners, statues and coinage with symbols of his religion. Right up to the conclusion of his life he acted as the high priest of this religion, calling his reign the era of Sun-emperorship, only as he lay dying was he baptised, when the Christians took advantage of his weakness to resist.

The Egyptians are one of the earliest recorded cultures to fully embrace the sun as a deity. Ra was the major cosmic deity. Early Egyptian kings claimed descent from his lineage. At the beginning of the Middle Kingdom (2134-1668 B.C.E) the worship of Ra, for all intents and purposes, became a state religion.

The parallel in Christianity is the Merovingians who claim a direct linage to Christ and so a right to subjugate and exploit the population, this Jinn bloodline flows through to the descendants perpetrating the present monarchies of the modern world.

During the Theban dynasties the god was melded to Amon and was transformed into the supreme god Amon-Ra. Later renamed Aton, which was proclaimed the one true and only god, on the surface creating the first monotheistic religion. An early example of the concept of the trinity is also in evidence, for the Egyptians believed in a divine father, mother, and son (Osiris, Isis, Horus), this also explains the use of the term ‘āmen’ expressed at the conclusion of any prayer, in the affirmation of the Sun God, this concludes prayers in the modern world for Judaism, Christianity and Islam, possibly others.

The BRAMA of the Hindus, and MITHRAS of the Persians, and ATHOM, AMUM, PHTHA, and OSIRIS, of the Egyptians, the BEL of the Chaldeans, the ADONAI of the Phœnicians, the ADONIS and APOLLO of the Greeks, became but personifications of the Sun.

From this ancient cosmological vantage point the god dwelled in and ruled the heavens, this established a God in the sky belief.

The sun religions Ankhs symbolized everlasting life and generation, the Ichthys, or fish symbol, was used by early Christians,  replaced by the Chi-Rho monogram, which was adopted by Constantine from his labarum (military standard), later replaced by the death on the cross symbol.

Constantine worked to incorporate the religions, to form a united, cohesive single religion of the state. “Faith…. was for Constantine a political matter, and any faith that was conductive to unity was treated with forbearance.” (The Holy Blood and the Holy Grail. 1996 ed. p.388)

The Pope of Rome, Eusebius, regarded Constantine as divine and stated that the Creator was embodied in him. “Since the beginning of the world it is to Constantine alone that the power of salvation has been given. Christ is set aside, Christ is formally denied….Constantine now stands alone as the saviour of the world…” (The Messianic Legacy)

“Constantine dealt with the matter of religion from a political angle only, by expelling all the bishops who he expected would not sign the new declaration of faith, and in this manner he achieved the unity he wanted.” (The Heretics. By Walter Nigg.)

Christian doctrine formed on the basis of an emperor’s authority. This doctrinal text written by Constantine himself, for the people who gathered at the council of Nicea, still forms the foundation and reference point for the doctrine of all Christian groups.

All works and writing that opposed the decrees of Nicea were to be collected and destroyed. Emperor Diocletian had destroyed all Christian writings that could be found. “Of the five thousand extant early manuscripts of the New Testament, not one pre-dates the fourth century. The New Testament, as it exists is essentially a product of fourth century editors and writers.”(The Heretics. By Walter Nigg.)

“After Constantine, the Christ was depicted as one who had power over death, and as the ruler of the universe.”(The Lost Gospel. – Burton L Mack)

The church took the birthday of the Sun, the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere, the festival of “Natalis Invicti” on 25 December in Europe but varies upon geographical location, as in Russia for example Christmas falls on the 4th January. The Sabbath was changed from Saturday as established by the early Christians to Sunday, the day of the Sun.

In the council they established the new foundations of their ecclesiastical corporation, “ecumenical” derived from Greek ‘oikoumenikos’ means “worldwide”, Augustus claim to be ruler of the oikoumene/world, therefore the Pope was owner of the world and all within it; Augustus promoted the ideal of a superior Roman civilization with a task of ruling the world, so an Emperor, a king, a president could rule what the Pope owned.

They made the Pope the vicar of Christ, and they made Christ God, so the Pope was the religious adviser to God; the word vicar means ‘a substitute’, meaning a vicar is a substitute who acts in place of another, so in effect the Pope is God on earth, under the Roman Catholic Church logic.”

Abdun Nur’s website: Servant of the Light.

I’d encourage you to take the time to read through his site; every article is informative and thought-provoking, particularly this eye-popping post entitled, “The Vatican“.

In closing, I’m including a brief excerpt from my dear friend, Jennifer Shepherd (aka Lipstick Mystic) with her kind permission, from one of her latest posts, “What It Means To Be A Medicine Woman or Healer Today“. It’s fitting, expanding a little upon the evils of the catholic church, whose paranoia didn’t just include those of other religious belief systems. (Forgive me, Jennifer, I’ve broken it up into paragraphs for ease of reading) :

So to be effective at what you do, you need to sort of work underground. And of course, ignorance, superstition, and persecution still happen to real healers on an almost constant basis.

In some ways, not much has changed since the “burning times” of the medieval period. That was when all the herbalists and mid-wives living in Europe — you know, the women who actually knew which herbs to use to stop a woman from bleeding during or after pregnancy and which herbs were natural antibiotics that could stop lethal infections — were killed off, burned at the stake, and driven underground.

And after the Catholic Church and its homicidal representatives killed off the herbalist/midwives for “working with the Devil” — that’s what they called it when these women healed people — the bubonic plague hit Europe and one third of the population died without the life-saving ministrations of these gifted and brilliant healer ladies.

Long before men served as doctors, you’d go to women for healing; they were the keepers of wisdom about herbs and their medicinal effects. That all got wiped out. Healer women were portrayed as witches, as non-compliant, as evil. Fast forward some nine hundred years — and it’s just the same crap, different century…”

God? What god?

The internet brings us a plethora of information we now know far exceeds the capabilities of any single library in existence, including the vatican’s (yes, small ‘v’; I refuse to grant it respect). And as with libraries, while a small minority of content is questionable, many more are not.

So in this 21st century, it’s begs the question: with so much knowledge, so many recorded experiences, so much archaeological evidence (that hasn’t been commandeered by vested interested, or twisted by same), with so much research at our fingertips, why do so many still obstinately refuse to remove their blindfolds and stop delegating responsibility for their lives to an invisible and non-existent entity?

Why do so many still obstinately choose to live in fear, lack and ignorance, despite an abundance of evidence telling us no such entity exists?

Larry Simons, over at blogspot, asks 31 Questions Christians Can’t Answer. These are questions incapable of being answered by the bible in defence. They’re simple, valid, intelligent questions.

Somewhere along the line, Rupert Sheldrake’s morphic resonance must surely bring global reason, where once it brought global madness.

Mysterious or not, morphic resonance to me best explains the frustrations of so many in vast areas of life; those working on new inventions, for example, or literary and other artistic ventures, only to discover their labours have simultaneously been undertaken by others not known to them and in distant reaches of the world – and which, in all honesty, can leave one feeling a bit like they’ve ‘missed the boat’.

To me, morphic resonance best explains the creation of religion with its foundations of control and greed, using blindness, insanity, extremism, fanaticism, ignorance, fear and paranoia to their own ends.

Meanwhile, over at The Onion, there’s a piece that will either give cause for giggles or howls of rage, depending on where one stands. It’s entitled, God Admits Humans Not Most Impressive Creation.  (Incidentally, I’m a confirmed giggler).

Enjoy.

Out On A (Very Thin) Limb

What’s the quickest way to eliminate all of the bs out of the world in one swift move – without violence?

I mean everything; child molesting priests and pedos, rape, murder, war, weapons of war, crime, drug companies, politicians and their crooked governments, misogyny, bloody religion, criminal cults, violence, starvation, disease, slave labor, child labor, injustice and inequality?

What’s the quickest way for everyone to be happy, healthy, prosperous and free?

What’s the quickest way to wipe out greed?  (only when everyone has everything they need and everything they want – and I mean everyone, not just the ‘precious, privileged, few’, but everyone – that greed will dissolve.)

What’s the quickest way for everyone to turn their backs on greedy bankers and their ‘counting houses’?

What’s the quickest way for everyone to turn their backs on equally greedy religious leaders?

What’s the quickest way for everyone to turn their backs on their current governments?

What’s the quickest way for everyone to turn their backs on the medical profession?

What’s the quickest way for everyone to walk out of all those unhealthy hospitals and never turn back?

What’s the quickest way for everyone to turn their backs on drug companies?

And my personal favourite – what’s the quickest way for millions of pc users everywhere to turn their backs on the frustrations of being a Microsoft customer? (Sorry, couldn’t help myself.)

Of course, it would mean no more stock market, no more corporations, and possibly a very limited and very different government of sorts, if any.  We wouldn’t need them.

In reality, the solution isn’t all that ‘quick’ in the making – it can take anything up to 8 years, give or take.

And I’m sorry, but there’s not a single human-made god that can make any or all of that happen. They can’t even manage to answer simple prayers, for goodness sakes (or if they do, 3 others have to die in order to grant it, apparently).

But we can.

And now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m just going to step out on this very thin limb here…

…and say two words: Philosopher’s Stone.

Together with another three words: Apparently, it’s real.

And just seven more: And you can create it for yourself.

For those who haven’t just fled the page in disgust, swearing never to read another word I type again, and who remain either out of morbid curiosity or because they’re just too lazy to hit ‘Freshly Pressed’ and find something else, allow me to present you with something entirely sane, logical - natural – and sensible.

I should also say that, at this stage, bankers, politicians, religious sects, drug companies, and the medical profession have nothing to fear any time soon, though; the majority won’t read the material offered, and if they do, there’s a fair chance that 99% won’t grant it any credibility.  And then there are those who are just plumb lazy.

The ebook I draw your attention to is called the ‘Book of Aquarius‘ (has nothing to do with astrology), is not copy-written,  and remains entirely free; the author desires as many as possible to have free access to the information, and I applaud the selfless act, which is why I want to do what I can to help spread the information around.  It’s up to the end reader to make of it what they will, and do with it what they will.

Go ahead…click the title of the book above; read it, download it if you wish, cogitate, and consider…what’s there to lose but the time it takes to read it?  (*Edit: Have now added a permanent link directly to the ebook under ‘Sites I Love’.)

The Things Archaeology Digs Up!

There’s really nothing sexier than the mind of an Archaeologist, and no matter what their original intention in unearthing all things biblical, their discoveries (whether pleasing findings to them personally, or not) can be deeply comforting to those shackled and imprisoned in the lies of religion – if they’re not re-buried in silence.

I’m grateful for Archaeologists – and for members like ‘arkenaten’, who, without knowing it, made today’s brief post possible after sharing a particularly priceless link with me.

Archaeology is one of those reliably calming forces of fact amidst subjective religious insanity, hysteria, treacherous lies, deliberate deception, and the terrors it’s imposed so eagerly upon so many for so long, like a scary old wives’ tale designed to frighten children into obedience.

There’s really not much more I can say here except, “Why am I’m not surprised?” and “Isn’t it a shame for religion that archaeology can’t lie?” (Not really, no.).

Just a short scroll down the page is an article “from Ha’aretz Magazine, Friday, October 29, 1999”.

“YHWH and his consort”, indeed. To whet the curiosity a tad further; “It turns out that part of Israeli society is ready to recognize the injustice that was done to the Arab inhabitants of the country and is willing to accept the principle of equal rights for women – but is not up to adopting the archaeological facts that shatter the biblical myth. The blow to the mythical foundations of the Israeli identity is apparently too threatening, and it is more convenient to turn a blind eye.”

Here’s the link. Grab a cuppa and let the earth speak of things she’s revealed to those who’ve sought truth.

The Fellowship of Greed

I want to shed some light on the AoG’s ‘Pentecostalism’.  It’s a thriving New Age business, particularly in Australia – and a New Age business it is, make no mistake. Big, big, business.

It bears no relation to a ‘god’ (unless you bring Sauron into the picture), piety, or the Jesus they once painted very differently. It’s entertainment, it’s showbiz, it’s LOA snazzed up, putting The Secret to shame, and undoubtedly stretching even Peter Jackson’s imagination.

It’s the New Age Law Of Attraction they’ve taken for their own, twisting their scripture to force it into compliance with the popular system of thinking, repackaged and re-marketed as ‘doing Church in the 21st Century’.

And that’s ok, if that’s what puts a tilt in your kilt; I have absolutely no objection to LOA teachings whatsoever, but for fek sake, just be bloody honest and call it what it is; don’t steal the concept from another school of thought and try to disguise it as something else for the sake of tax avoidance. That’s called deception.  And tax avoidance is illegal, no matter how well planned the deception.

If the real Jesus ever stood up and saw the crap being peddled and prostituted in his name, he’d vomit. I certainly would.

As I think back to the days when I was a ‘religious church-goer’ ( many, many, moons ago), I can’t recall reading about Jesus doing deals with Caesar to secure a tax-free status for himself and his mates, can you? I recall reading about him teaching obedience to the government of the day and paying taxes – even if he did materialize said taxes from the mouth of a fish (if it wasn’t just a metaphor for something else).

I can’t recall reading about him influencing, interfering, or meddling in the politics of the day, either, can you?  I rather got the impression he minded his own business and stuck to his own business.

So how does this Fellowship of Greed manage to slip through the radar that defines what constitutes a religion and what constitutes a business? I think the radar needs updated software; it’s clearly still using version 1.0.0.

Do you want The Fellowship of Greed at the helm, influencing the decisions and direction of your country for their own financial gain and political agendas? Left unchecked, that’s exactly what will keep happening.

Religion has no business in politics.

Are you content to keep paying taxes to aid the spread of this financial cancer, supporting ‘fat cat’ lifestyles with government handouts, when they already earn enough in their own right to buy a small country? Left unchecked, it can only continue – and get worse.

Governments owe religion nothing.

And if they’re allowed a tax free existence, why aren’t all Law of Attraction teachers given the same tax free status and handouts? Their prosperity teachings aren’t so different to those of The Fellowship of Greed (who’ve stolen them from LOA teachings anyway), save for a few names dropped here and there, and, of course, the symbolic, cannibalistic rituals of flesh eating and blood drinking.

Remember, these are the people whose idea of ‘emergency charity’ is handing out small boxes of tinned food that are no less than 2 years out of date and entirely unsuitable for hungry infants and toddlers, as was the case of the young single father with 3 children under the age of 6, the youngest having just turned 1 at the time, which I mentioned briefly here.

I know what they do behind the face of their so-called ‘charity’, having once donated one night a week of my time (briefly, before giving up in disgust), going to a local chain-store bakery to collect the days’ unsold loaves of bread. The business was happy to donate them to this church, solely because the church claimed they would see to it they’d be given to those in need. That isn’t how it worked, though.

Upon returning to the church with the loaves of bread, where did they go?  Well, let’s see; after well-fed (obese), Gucci-perfumed, bejewelled church staff stuffed several loaves into bags to take home for themselves, the handful (if that) that remained, were dumped into a small freezer.  If they ever went to anyone in need, I never witnessed it.

But back to the matter at hand. There’s an article I want to share with you here.  Although dated 2005, I think it bears being brought to public attention once again. It’s rather aptly entitled, ‘God’s Millionaires’.

Be warned: the figures in the article may make your blood boil, your stomach heave, and your political loyalties change forever.

I feel it’s important. I also feel it’s time for madness to be slammed against the wall of reason and shattered into the non-existence it deserves. It’s an illusion of ‘saviour by wealth’, this Fellowship of Greed. It cost taxpayers millions in financial support, whether taxpayers like it or not, and whether taxpayers are religious or not.  Such waste on the frivolous and illusory!

Time for The Fellowship of Greed to be correctly classified for what they are – a business – to pay taxes like every other business, and lose their publicly funded perks.

Time for certain governments to grow some balls and give obnoxious leaches the flick. They’re a ridiculous burden taxpayers don’t need.

You Don’t Need Religion To Be Spiritual

…nor a cult, an organization, a society (secret or otherwise), a priest, pastor, bishop, minister, cardinal, cult leader or government.

I’ve touched on this subject before (here), but it bears repeating and expanding; it is, after all, the main purpose of this blog.

Spirituality comes from within. It’s divorced from organized religion.

Religion dictates, controls, and divides; spirituality empowers, sets free, and unites.

Religion condemns; spirituality justifies.

Religion oppresses; spirituality liberates.

Religion demands; spirituality gives.

Religion rapes and starves the spirit; spirituality protects and nourishes it.

If there are so many ‘gods’ and so many ‘one true religions’, then why is there global malcontent? Shouldn’t our world be utopia?

Are all these supposed ‘gods’ at war with each other? Are all religions merely armies of hate?

Why does humanity seemingly have an inbuilt need to ‘worship’ something separate from itself?

For my own part, I’ve formed an ‘impression’ (and only an impression, because I’m unable to provide ‘proof’) that we’re all co-creators of our complex world, the universe in all its complex majesty, and our lives.

This, for me personally, best explains why there are no gods answering prayers, why doomsday prophecies always fail (and always will) and why there’s so much inequality, injustice and hatred in our world.

Someone very special to me once opened my eyes to see and understand that we all, for the most part, have good hearts, and that we all, for the most part, have good intentions, but we’ve largely and mistakenly misguided ourselves in our search for spiritual ‘truth’, and I believe humanity was hoodwinked into doing so.

There can only be one truth. There can’t be several. It may have many facets, like a cut diamond, and may be as big and glorious, but it’s still only one truth. No one ‘owns’ it; no one can carve it in stone and create followers to control and oppress with it. It’s free – and it’s free because we were the creators, before the dawning of time; we chose, we decided, we created – in harmony, in beauty and above all, in love. We are the divinity we’ve searched for in vain, because we weren’t permitted to remember.

I can’t help but feel, in my heart and soul, that humanity knew this to be true, once upon a time, but it didn’t suit those who gave way to their own darkness. And in their lust for power and control, they created religion, filled it with ignorance and loathsome stories pushing inequality, misogyny, and fear – most importantly fear – of what would happen to those who believed in themselves, who loved themselves, and who dared remember their own divinity. And so began the ages of mass deception with which to imprison, oppress, and control.

Clearly I’m not a theologian, philosopher, or even a great thinker; I’m just me, one person, trying to make sense of the world I live in and my life, the same as everyone else. And what I’ve seen, isn’t the love professed and touted by religion, but the hatred and malice it incites, the bloodshed it provokes, and the utter waste, futility, and senselessness of it all.

If I was given just one wish, it would be that humanity wakes up…and remembers.

Clarifying My Anti-Media Stance

Below is a response from retired U.S. reporter, Garry Anderson (together with my subsequent reply) to a comment I made in an article regarding gun owners on teepee12′s blog, Serendipity (http://wp.me/s2bT5l-13781).

I include it here, with Garry’s kind permission, in an effort to clarify my stance, lest I become guilty of the very things I find deplorable in media bosses – inciting people to irrationality and fear through the brainwashing methods of repetitious hype, half-truths, false and misleading information, fanaticism, and religious/politically-biased generalizations. And let’s not forget the media’s apparent addiction to sensationalism, at the expense of human compassion and decency.

My aim is to encourage people to wake up and question what’s being cooked up and served to them, be it religious, political, or both.

Please note that I’m referring only to traditional forms of media; television, radio, newspapers and magazines and the raping of the public psyche, whether the public desires to be psychologically and emotionally raped, or not.

I don’t include the internet, simply because it’s entirely a matter of actively seeking out what one chooses to view online, and involves taking the time to utilize search engines. Radio, television, newspapers and magazines, however, don’t simply allow one to only see, hear, or read what they originally intended to see, hear, or read; they surround and wrap it in toxicity and venom, in callous disregard for one’s intelligence.

I also apologize in advance for the size, colour and style of font in copying and pasting our communications across. Being technologically challenged in the first place, I near pulled my hair out trying to match it all up, before giving up entirely.

Email from Garry Anderson (I took the liberty of breaking it down into paragraphs for ease of reading):

Hi, Gabrielle!!

I was trying to find a way of writing you after reading your comments to my Wife’s (Teepee12) blog about guns. I’m retired after more than 40 years as a TV and radio news reporter at Network and local levels, including 31 years at Boston’s Ch-7. I covered many controversial stories — international, national and local. Wars, politics, race riots, fires, and the inevitable street violence among many other daily news staples. I always strove to be fair and objective.

Sometimes that got me in trouble with the “suits” (My bosses) to the point where they threatened to fire me (several times!!). Didn’t matter because I always felt my job was to tell the truth. Then and now, reporters do NOT control the news. But they do the best they can. Sometimes the price is very high!!

I was very very visible, fought my bosses frequently and managed to “dodge management bullets” until my career “ended”. I know you find this hard to believe but there are people like me who cherish their profession as reporters and do not take their responsibility lightly. Electronic and probably print journalism has changed since I ”retired” over 11 years ago. We’re now in the age of very short form reports on very complicated issues.

I was fortunate to work in a period (early 60′s to 2001) when for a long time the news department only answered to itself. That gradually changed as the advertising and marketing departments increasingly weighed in on control of the News Departments (The classic movie “Network” is very, very accurate). The internet proliferation has also diminished the accuracy, objectivity and quality of reporting. You simply cannot believe everything you read on line.

All that said, there are plenty of fair-minded reporters still working. You have to be wary of the bias — be it from the left or the right. I’ve gone on longer than I intended but I wanted to reach out to you. I’ve absorbed more than my share of criticism over the years. I figured it came with the job. I actually responded to many of my critics during my working years. Some of them became friends. Now, more than 12 years (Time flies!!) into retirement, I am flattered when people still recognize me.

One of the nicest comments I receive is “You were always fair. I may not have agreed with what you were saying but you never lied and you never took sides..” I always took pride in what I did — along with the criticism and the praise — I always knew I had a responsibility to use my “power” very, very carefully. Now, this has become REALLY long-winded but I hope it has opened dialogue between us.

I look forward to hearing from you. I’m going to send you an article someone wrote about me awhile back so you’ll know a little bit more about me. My coffee has grown cold but I wanted to finish before losing my thoughts.

Best Regards and Happy New Year!!

Garry Armstrong

My reply:

Hello Garry!

I’m so sorry it’s taken so long to reply – I live at the bottom of the planet, you see, so there’s a bit of a time difference.

Firstly, thank you very much for taking the time to reply with your point of view and perspectives based on your years of professional experience.  I really must learn learn to clarify what I say, instead of assuming people know what I’m talking about.

When I refer to “the media”, I’m talking about the decision-makers behind the news, those who decide and control what to bombard and brainwash the public with, how it will be presented, what light (or bias) it will be presented in, and how often.

My teen years were spent with news reporters, columnists, politicians, judges, magistrates, barristers, criminal lawyers, advertising executives, and media bosses (the ‘big fish in a little pond’ variety) floating in and out of the family home on a regular, if not daily, basis.  I once worked as a legal secretary and court transcriptionist (*edit: as well as a restaurant reviewer and a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ astrology columnist for a local rag at the time).

My father was actively involved in local politics, while siblings and I were frequently subjected to many a heated political debate wafting down the corridors of the family home, over glasses of ‘Champers’, Pinot Noir, and Port, where decisions that would affect the general public were made in secret, between ‘mates’, whether the public liked it or not. If the walls could talk, indeed.

What I carried away with me into my adult years, wasn’t a healthy respect for media, judicial, and advertising decision-makers, but a sincere loathing for what appeared to me to be their delight in sensationalizing and feasting on misery, colouring it with bias, and thrusting it upon a public they seemed intent on desensitizing to the horrors in the world. I sincerely believe I’m not alone in this sentiment.

I don’t, for one moment, doubt that there are reporters, like yourself, endeavoring to do the best they can; not all reporters are created equal, and not all reporters represent the final decision-makers behind their jobs. I doubt you personally would have taken a morbid and sensationalistic delight in photographing/filming a (*the) man who was unavoidably about to be run over by a train, much less desire to contribute to it being splashed across the front page of your local newspaper, or replayed dozens of times on your local television news, which is entirely my point about – and objection to – the media.

After realizing just how unhealthy an impact the media in general was having on my emotional and psychological health, I made a conscious decision to stop supporting it, in much the same way many soapmakers have stopped supporting the palm oil industry in protest over those who show little regard for Orangutan habitats (in some areas), until, and if, all palm oil is proven sustainable.

My bottom line was, and remains, that I don’t want to be bombarded with scenes of murder and war. I don’t want to be desensitized to cruelty and murder. I don’t want to be ‘persuaded’ into becoming irrational about those who don’t fit in to Western cultural values. I don’t want to be persuaded into the irrational  - and erroneous – belief, that one religious extremist group is better or worse than another, by a blinkered and biased media. I don’t want to be ‘entertained’ with the constant, detailed, retelling of the sexual abuse and torture of women and children.  I don’t want to become so desensitized, that tragedy becomes ‘just another day’.

Again, I will say, as I’ve said elsewhere, if life is what we make it and what we focus on, then why do so many choose to focus on destruction, misery, greed, and death? Why is there an entire industry dedicated to keeping it alive? Criminals and politicians benefit from constant media exposure, while the public gains little more than something else to be anxious, fearful, cynical, and miserable about.

I didn’t own a television or buy newspapers and magazines to be brainwashed, and I don’t own them now for the same reason.

Thank you again for sharing your views with me, Garry. I appreciate the opportunity of being able to clarify my stance, which I hope I’ve now accomplished.

Peace.

Garry’s reply:

Hi, Gabrielle at the bottom of the Planet!!

Well, you’ve made my day with your response!! This is what I used to enjoy during my working years when I made contact with folks who criticized me and the media. It is easy to savor the praise. It’s harder to communicate with those who criticize. Some used to write in crayon spewing racial epithets among other ignorant rants.

You’ve cut right to the heart of the problem by targeting the decision makers, the “suits” I alluded to in my missive to you.  They are the ones who mandate getting the insensitive video and outrageous interviews. Then, they deny such behavior when questioned by critics, letting the sword fall on those who work in the field.

They do NOT care!! All they want are the ratings and the ad revenue.

It’s not a new problem.

I recall reading a bio about one of my heroes, Edward R. Murrow, a pioneer in radio and TV news reporting. I always thought of him as a man who did it his way with little interference. I was so wrong. Murrow, the legend, had the same complaints about the same “suits” who gave me so much grief. Goes with the territory. I guess it always will.

I am curious about your youth and the folks who criss-crossed your life and your Father’s life. It sounds very interesting!! I’d love to hear more. Gabrielle, thanks for taking the time to share YOUR views. So much gets lost or misunderstood in these social network exchanges. I hope we can continue to exchange thoughts. Maybe it’s the beginning of a very nice friendship.

All the best!!

Garry

One final note: Do you recall the scene in the movie ‘Merlin’ – starring Sam O’Neill – where the people stood together and turned their backs on Queen Mab, so that she ceased to exist? That single scene says it far more elegantly and poignantly than I could (but I’ll try anyway): the more people turn their backs on those things that keep their lives imprisoned in fear, uncertainty, hate, and misery, the sooner they cease to be relevant, and the sooner they cease to exist. Simplistic? Maybe. Effective? I believe so, yes. A silent, non-violent, revolution.

New Year’s Revolutions

Get This from CyArena.com

Ok, so I’m 12 hours and 11 minutes early, but I won’t be home at pumpkin hour tonight – I’ll be away, quietly welcoming in the New Year with a glass of Moscato in one hand, a wriggling bundle of fur in the other, and an almost full moon overhead.

And yes. Revolutions.  Given that I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions (never made one in my entire life, and don’t intend to start now),  I thought it might be fun to compromise and create a ‘New Year’s Revolutions’ List. Want to join in and add some of your own?

It’s not exactly a ‘wish list’, because as soon as I call it a ‘wish list’, nargles lick every word straight off the page and spit them into the ‘Not-Gonna-Happen-So-Forget-About-It’ Bucket.  I thought perhaps a different approach might enable them to slip past the blasted things unnoticed. So, here’s my…

2013 New Year’s Revolutions List

(scandalous, of course)

Priests/ministers/pastors/bishops/elders/cult leaders, etc., required to pay income tax, like everyone else – no exceptions, no concessions, no excuses, no arguments.

Churches and cults required to record and account for all financial activity – donations, sales of publications and paraphernalia, etc.  And pay business tax, the same as every other business – no exceptions, no concessions, no excuses, no arguments.

Politicians’ salaries cut by 50%, lose all perks and taxpayer-funded retirement benefits that were never made available to the very taxpayers funding them in the first place. ‘Pollies’ will, instead, receive the same age pension everyone else receives, the same pensioner concessions everyone else receives, be subject to the same means testing as everyone else, and which age pension will only be payable upon legal retirement age, and not when they decide to ‘retire from politics’.   No exceptions, no excuses, no arguments.

(Serves to remind them that the status of ‘public servant’ does not now, never has, and never will, translate to mean ‘public lord and master’.  Also leaves the way clear for Altruism to step forward and govern with his/her friends – Courage, Truth, and Justice – once the snakes begin to starve and go in search of fatter prey elsewhere.)

The Carbon Tax abolished for the revenue-raising scam and unnecessary burden it is.

Kevin Rudd restored to his rightful place as PM (if he chooses to return), while those involved in aiding, abetting, and conspiring with the criminal to carry out their mutinous act – including the criminal herself – imprisoned for treason. Criminal forced to publicly acknowledge her treason, apologize to both the man and the nation she betrayed…and then clean prison toilets and pick up cigarette butts for the rest of her life.

Transparent government.  All matters of government put before the people for discussions, decisions, and approval at pre-determined times convenient as humanly possible for all; no changes, alterations, adjustments, additions, or increases in laws, taxes, immigration, education, health care, industry, etc., until and unless scrutinized, discussed, and approved by the people – no exceptions, concessions, excuses, arguments, secret deals, or greasing of palms.

Households invited to be involved in decision-making and direction of their country via webcam meetings, weekly, fortnightly or monthly (as convenient, mentioned above).  Parliament operates in ‘cottage industry’ fashion.

Do we really need to keep paying taxes just to maintain fancy buildings and plush residences in the event international royalty and political leaders come to visit? Not really, no.  They can sleep on the futon in the spare room, same as Auntie Mavis and Uncle Frank.

Is there any good reason why Government can’t be more mobile and less ‘high maintenance’?  Not really, no.

Can the chosen representatives of the people simply hire a local Maccas, use a laptop, a webcam, and a prepaid wireless to hold Parliamentary sittings (for want of a better name)?  Yes. Yes, they can.

And can they get off their arses and use public transport more frequently instead of expensive, unnecessary, taxpayer-funded chauffeur-driven limos?  Yes. Yes, they can –  weather permitting, of course.

Government deaf, dumb and blind to religious, corporate, and media interference.  Needs no further explanation, really.

Political Parties:  Could potentially be dispensed with entirely in favour of one; the ‘People Power Party’.

People and Family before business and profit. If that means slowing the pace of industry and reducing profit margins, so be it.  They’ve torn families apart, sucked the soul out of employees, left children to raise themselves and grow up without primary caregivers – and for what?  For employer stupidity, greed, and egomaniac work demands. Oh, the petty-minded power of idiots!

The one-hour lunch break restored to all employees, the sum total of which, over the course of a year, are not to be deducted from annual leave – no exceptions, no excuses, no arguments.

The “8 hour shift turn-around” practice abolished for the intrusive, soul-sucking, barbaric, family, relationship, and health-destroying evil it is. No exceptions, no excuses, no arguments.

Women receive the same pay for the same job as men – no exceptions, no excuses, no arguments.

Teens paid the same rates for the same job as adults – no exceptions, no excuses, no arguments (which should kill two birds with one stone – stop the exploitation of teens and discrimination against mature-aged workers. A level playing ground, wouldn’t you say?).

The public decides where the savings from politicians wages, perks, and taxes from churches, etc, will be channelled.

All sales tax abolished – no excuses, no exceptions; the GST is quite enough.

Police revenue-raising tactics disbanded – to be decided upon by the public.

Medical profession forced to include and incorporate alternatives to their current, toxic, non-holistic approach to medicine, to be taught in all medical schools, and incorporated into hospital systems.

Hospitals must have an open air system in place; in other words, they must allow windows in every ward to be open, replacing those that don’t with those that do, weather permitting, and as appropriate and desired by patients (perhaps it might help remove some of the toxic airborne filth residing in unhygienic air-conditioning systems?).

Individualism: I haven’t yet worked out which ‘bog of eternal stench’ the insidious ‘hive mind mentality’ came from, but it demands the squashing and suppression of individualism and honest, questioning minds, while seeking to ‘dumb them down’.  This, too, goes on the list.  Whoever you are, whatever your diseased intentions towards a free and liberated humanity, just know that your crushing defeat is imminent.

End of list.

(told you it was scandalous)

Not that it’ll fix the world, but geez Louise, it might at least help get things started a little bit.

Not that it’ll stop religious-induced hate, violence, and bloodshed, either, although I can’t help wonder how far financial stresses, pressures, and work demands contribute to the social broth of malcontent in the first place?

And if all else fails, a girl’s allowed to dream, isn’t she?  Happy New Year, everyone!

2013: Today’s Youth, Tomorrow’s Liberation

That’s the thought, the hope, and the vision I cling to for 2013 and beyond. I may be a dreamer, but some dreams are worth holding on to, even in the face of seeming defeat.

With passionate hatred and bloodshed between opposing religious factions at fever pitch, the persecution of those who fall outside religiously-approved relationship ‘norms’, the repression of human nature demanded within religious sects, the molestation of innocence covered up and at its most rampant, religious leaders ‘buying’ political favour, luxuriating in tax free-wealth, the greed of governments for votes above all else, with deaf ears falling on the plight of the many in favour of the few, where tyranny rules and human decency has become the exception rather than the rule, it seems as though the world has grown more twisted and ugly than ever before.

Or perhaps it’s just the variety of global social media that’s opened up a veritable plethora of communication pathways, making it appear that way. We’re bombarded with news of events now in the blink of an eye and from every corner of the globe. Perhaps it’s always been as ugly as it is now.

It almost seems hopeless.

Almost.

The youth of the world are putting those of us who should know better, to shame. Has anyone listened to them lately? From universities the world over, to kindergartens, their voice is the same: it’s a voice of love, pleading for reason, logic, justice and sanity.

Theirs is the rising voice of open, honest, questioning of an outdated and suffocating status quo, a desire for open dialogue to cut through the dark quagmire of extremism and the religious constructs that have imposed current social phobias, stigmas, and fear towards those deemed ‘different’; those who don’t ‘conform’.

Theirs is a sense of compassion, a sincere desire to see a fair, level-headed, and just society, where one may worship their god(s) in peace, with dignity and freedom, without fear for their lives, without ridicule and acts of hatred by other denominations; where all walks of life and religious backgrounds live side-by-side in harmony and mutual respect.

Their vision is for a world where same-sex relationships aren’t seen as ‘filth’, but poetry and beauty; accepted as natural, normal, valid, and healthy expressions of love.

Their vision for the world sees governments stick to the business of governance (not dominance and oppression), divorced from corporate interests; where religion and politics have no business in bed together; where religious leaders – and their deeds – are transparent, and where women in every corner of the globe are treated with the respect and equality they’ve been denied, and which is their right to take for granted, in every aspect life – particularly spiritually.

For the most part, this current generation of youth struggle to comprehend the world as it is – its injustices, inequalities, and hate-based violence – and that’s to be applauded. They see no difference in race, colour, creed, or sexual preference – and they’re a blessing to the future – to their own future.

It will surely be an enormous relief to see the current ‘old guard’ – those upholders of cruel and twisted discriminations, corporate greed, and religious fanaticisms – retire and die out, leaving today’s youth free to create a better world. They shouldn’t have to create it alone. We should be handing them a world well on its way to being what they desire and deserve.

I hope theirs will be a world where reason, logic, equity, compassion, and the truest sense of ‘justice’, prevails; the current insanities, no more than dark pages in a history they’ll be vigilant against repeating.

Fanaticism: Justifying False Prophecies

Now that the hype of Dec 21st has died down, I’d like to take a moment to think about doomsday ‘prophecies’ in general, because although this latest failing was largely a New Age invention, you can just about bank on the fact that Christians (or some other group) will sooner or later make another attempt at predicting ‘the end of the world’.

Will we never learn? Will the stupidity of it all never end? Why do so may have a death wish?  If life is what we make it and what we focus on, then why do so many choose annihilation over their own sovereign creativity?

Matt 24:26 and Mark 13:32 tend to be two particularly favoured scriptures (amongst others) that Christian fanatics generally fall back on when their doomsday prophecies fail to show up. Oops! No humble admission nor apology for false prophets and their prophecies, just quotes thrown at us mere heathens in retaliation.

There’s a dark and insidiously evil purpose to these human-inspired and created scriptures: to keep the innocent and gullible among us imprisoned in fear and uncertainty for the rest of their lives.  It’s an age-old, religious, control mechanism and has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus.  In fact, I dare to go so far as to say that Jesus did not utter these words to mean what religion has twisted them to mean, if he even uttered them at all:

Matt 24:26: “But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” (King James Version, Cambridge Ed.)

Mark 13:32: “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.” (King James Version, Cambridge Ed.)

Even the JW’s like to use them to cover their asses. Remember their failed prediction dates of 1914, 1925 and 1975? It’s like saying, “Ok, so we got the dates wrong, but it’s going to happen and you’re still going to be murdered by our all-loving and all-merciful god, so just you remember that, ok?”

Let’s also not forget their originally predicted “rapture”, which was supposed to occur in 1878, followed the by the ‘end of the world’ in 1914 – although JW’s vehemently disassociate themselves from the actual word ‘Rapture’ these days, but not back in 1878. Isn’t it funny how religious whims change at the drop of a hat, even while they claim their god is consistent and cannot lie?  Then they resort to the ‘blame game’ and certainly in the case of the JW’s, I recall them blaming their printing department over the failure of their 1975 ‘end of world’ prophecy.  What? No one actually proofreads what comes out of their printing department before publication? Rather unfair and pathetic, don’t you think?

Lest they deny any of their past prophecies to you, dear reader, one need only refer to their Watch Tower publication of July, 1906.  Let no JW  attempt to convince you that their organization hasn’t ever printed false prophecies.

It’s like a continuous loop of insanity. Not just with the JW’s, but all forms of fatalistic fanaticism.  And now the New Age ascension crowd fall into this same category as we see them quickly back-peddling in light of no such ‘ascension’ having taken place 5 days ago. Now we see them desperately attempting to recover some semblance of ‘respect’ and ‘believability’ by explaining that they ‘didn’t mean the ascension was literal or physical, just spiritual’.  I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard in all my life.

Also bear in mind that the New Testament is a (relatively) modern publication compared to the Old, and although my next comment has no basis in fact whatsoever, I feel the NT bears absolutely no relation or resemblance whatsoever to the OT.  To me, it’s clearly flavoured with human attitudes, human mentality, human opinion, and human bias, with the Apostle Paul fervently leading the charge in the promotion of misogyny and its every implication. Not that I’m promoting the OT, either.

And what a very long way humanity has come since those dark and evil days. We still have a long way to go, and it saddens me to see so many so willing to cling to the beliefs of those dark days of denial, repression, control and cruelty.

I personally think that if Christians ever stopped to consider what Jesus must think of their carry-ons, fanaticisms and delusions in his name, they’d feel so very ashamed.

And now, for “those with an ear to hear”, I’d like to point you in the direction of a very dear friend of mine, Jennifer Shepherd, who does – quite literally and frequently – speak with Jesus. I’d also like to point out that Jennifer has a reputation for her honesty, lack of delusions, and the down-to-earth truth told in no uncertain terms, so if you’re easily offended, it won’t be for you. Her narrative can be found in three parts and begins here: http://www.lipstickmystic.com/so-heres-what-jesus-told-me-part-one/

If Vegemite was The Church and Peanut Butter was Heaven

Vegemite is much maligned by those who don’t understand it. I know this for a fact, because I was born into the PB&J Culture (yes, capital ‘C’), far, far, away across The Big Pond (yes, capital ‘T’, capital ‘B’ and capital ‘P’). But then, through no fault of my own, I was abruptly uprooted and thrust across The Big Pond into The Culture of All Things Vegemite, where I was magically expected to ‘take root and flourish’.

I didn’t like it. I wanted to start a revolution when running away didn’t work. At age 7.

Vegemite, I felt at the time, was an evil and foul crime against humanity. I was cruelly and mercilessly ridiculed for my PB&J’s in the Culture of All Things Vegemite, and truly wanted to gag at the sight of two hundred cheese and vegemite sandwiches every lunch time, but mastered self control.

However, I did gleefully discover some small measure of revenge in watching my tormentors being forced to drink horrid little glass bottles of rancid milk at morning recess that had been sitting in the hot summer sun all morning. Hahahahaha, I’d laugh to myself. Serves you bloody right, you culture-less mongrels. (My parents, of course, would have none of that, bless them. Rancid milk was decidedly off the menu for their daughter and they duly informed the headmaster.)

But then I went and made a new best friend who just happened to be a devout believer in All Things Vegemite; cheese and vegemite sandwiches, tomato and vegemite sandwiches, vegemite toast with fried eggs on top, vegemite toast ‘soldiers’ for stabbing runny boiled eggs; her mother even made a gravy with vegemite as stock.

So, because I wanted to feel as though I was truly sharing all aspects of life with my new best friend – both the ups and the downs – I determined that I must learn to like Vegemite. I shan’t lie; it took pocketfuls of courage, but the taste was inevitably and eventually acquired. And now? I simply can’t live without it.

There was a point to that bit of idiotic rambling if I can just remember what it was. Oh yes! It’s this: why can’t food just become The Religion – and we flush all the rest?

Turkish Delight confessionals, anyone?

Licorice pillow fights?

I can’t really see a Chocolate Pudding Regiment declaring war on a Strawberry Pudding Regiment, can you? I mean, Vanilla would always come between them to smooth things out, right?

And how many baguettes are going to warn fields of wheat to prepare for Marshmallow Ascension and not allow themselves to be harvested and milled?

Holy Book of Corn Flakes? (although they do make an amazing crunchy coating for fried chicken, y’know!)

Peanut Butter Heaven with 77 Eternal Rivers of Chocolate Sauce?

You’ll have to excuse me; I’m clearly not well at the moment…

Did You Just Hear That Sound?

Did you hear it?  I did too – along with the fits of giggles and relieved laughter that followed.

What was it?

It was the sound of the world not ending at 10:15 am this morning, the 21st of December, 2012.

It was the sound of little green/grey critters not landing in shiny spaceships to take over the world.

It was the sound of our earth not ‘morphing’ into another ‘dimension’.

It was the sound of all humans, good or bad, not ‘morphing’ into another dimension.

It was the delightful ‘thud’ of so-called ‘ascension masters’ and other assorted new age doomsday merchants tripping over their fake prophecies and falling on their asses in utter defeat.

Most of all, it was the beautiful, joyous, magical sound of the rhythm of life continuing as normal.

What if…

What if…

What if – just for 7 days – you didn’t turn on the radio, the television, or the cell phone, and you stopped buying and reading newspapers and magazines?

Have you ever thought about what effect it might have on you over those 7 days?

Let’s see:

No distractions from what you really want – or need – to be doing.

No false sense of ‘urgency’.

No media-imposed ‘sheep mentality’.

No constant external ‘yammering’, either visual or audible.

No pressure

No audio or visual horrors of deaths, robberies, murders and wars

No illegal subliminal messages being planted in your mind

No political lies

No constant reminders of time passing by

No commercialism hounding us to buy, buy, buy things we don’t need

No fake astrology garbage telling us how woeful our day will be

No gossip

No fashion police

No ‘social’ propaganda, herding us like sheep, telling us what to think, believe and feel, according to the latest socially acceptable fads.

No singers or celebrities pushing their financial/political agendas or guilt trips, or belting out tunes of misery and woe to bring you down.

No news of tragedy.

Peace! Sheer peace!

Life suddenly becomes a whole lot less complicated.

You’d be able to:

Hear yourself think

Feel your muscles instinctively relax

Actually notice the sounds of nature – birds, bees, etc.

You’d be able to notice/smell/feel the roses, the breeze against your skin, the rain on your face.

You’d actually be able to make your own decisions and think your own thoughts without media influence.

I don’t think people realize just how negatively all those extra things influence their spiritual, mental and physical health.

For my own part, I stopped doing those things 3 years ago. I don’t turn on a radio, don’t watch television, don’t buy or read newspapers and magazines – and if I want to watch a movie, I play a dvd on my computer.

I could almost feel my body and mind sigh with relief the day I evicted all forms of media from my home and stopped allowing it to control my life.

So what if you don’t hear every blow-by-blow, gory, detail about a war? Is knowing about it going to make it stop? No.

So what if you never hear about the death of a politician or celebrity the instant it occurs. Is knowing about it the instant they die, going to make them any less dead? No.

So what if tragedy has occurred somewhere? Does knowing about it the instant it occurs, make it not have occurred? No.

So what if Madam Muck deems the clothes on your back are ‘outdated’. Does her opinion stop you from wearing clothes at all until you can ‘tow the fashion line’? No.

So what if you didn’t hear your fake astrology reading for the day on the radio, or read it in the local newspaper. Does it mean you’ll be unable to get through your day? No.

Are any of those things absolutely necessary to the quality of your life? No. In fact, to the contrary; they actually harm your quality of life.

Best of all, the media and rampant commercialism would cease to control your life because it will have ceased to have any control or power over your mind, thoughts and emotions..

Politicians would actually have to get their hands dirty by keeping their promises and being in genuine contact with the people, instead of using media razzamatazz to win elections for them with lies.

Would ‘evicting’ the media from your life mean you couldn’t get to work or do your job? No.

Would ‘evicting’ the media from your life mean you couldn’t feed and clothe yourself? No.

Would ‘evicting’ the media from your life mean you’d be living in darkness? No.

Quite the contrary.

You’d be able to actually breathe, have more clarity of thought, make your own decisions free from outside influences, enjoy your day (where appropriate and depending on your job), and remove  a great deal of stress from your life.

Most importantly, if there’s something important you need to know, it will always reach you and be brought to your attention.

Why not try ‘evicting’ the media from your home for 7 days, and see for yourself what a difference it can make? It might just surprise you!

No Gods Please, We’re Enlightened

In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m not enamored of religion, religious leaders, bullies, power-mongers, fear-mongers and liars.

Added to that list are self-appointed ‘ascended masters’, interfering new age busybodies (not all new agers), psychics who aren’t psychics at all (a cousin worked at a well known live psychic phone line, where he and his co-workers weren’t screened and were about as psychic as any standard issue toenail), and let us not forget those delightful little ‘aliens’ who claim to be millions of years old with a self-appointed right to wipe humanity out of existence because the poor little alien got into a bitch fight with a bunch of ‘lowly men’ and woke up dead for their efforts. Where’s Simon Pegg and Paul when you need them?

Oh! And then there’s the ‘ascension’ business, somewhere between December this year and March next year, where all good little girls and boys magically transform into 5th dimension bodies with our earth, leaving everyone else to suffer untold horrors, then die horrible deaths.

**yaaaawwwn**

What the hell kind of drugs are folks on, anyway? Are they inhaling cyanide? Mainlining uranium waste? What?!

If it’s not another ‘fear message’ from ‘Archangels’ channeled through yet another misguided soul, then it’s a cranky ‘alien’ waggling his/her finger at us via more misguided – and easily impressed – souls, threatening to wipe us out because we somehow got up their left nostril a gadzillion years ago.

News Flash: Archangels don’t do seances or channeling, and they aren’t actually affiliated with religion. Just so you know. (I learned this lesson the hard and tacky way.)

(For those who’d like more info on the subject of Angels and Archangels, I’d recommend this very grounded article, with links at the bottom to further related articles).

Seriously. It’s all more than enough to cure anyone of constipation, if you catch my drift.

Do we really need more ‘gods’, ‘ascended masters’, man-written ‘holy books’, has-beens in tie-dyed muumuus channeling ‘aliens’, and whacked out religions?

This is the 21st century, last time I checked. Y-genners seemed to come straight from the womb being far more practical, realistic, and more knowledgeable about life than I was at 20! And their kids, seem even more so. Why are older generations still trying to screw them over and infect them with ‘religious diseases’?

Aren’t we enlightened by now?

Have we not yet learned that love is far more powerful than any force in the known Universe?

Have we not yet learned that religion breeds only ignorance, hate, and death?

Have we not yet learned that we attract more bees with honey than poison?

Have we forgotten that each one of us is sovereign in our own right?

Have we not yet learned that when we hold our lights together as one, we obliterate darkness?

And by the way, when did we forget that those we put in power, are our servants, and not our masters?

Directions For Distractions

Reblogged from dailydoseofNOOR:

The rain is pouring endlessly outside, the skies are a nice dismal shade of gray, I hear the loud reverberations of a flashy storm, and my mind is sincerely and completely awake. Contrary to what is evident on my blog, I’ve been writing a lot lately. Perhaps later this year the occasion will present itself for me to share some of the more ambitious fruits of my near two-month sabbatical.

More Than This

Last nights’ full moon took my breath away, compelling me to turn off the lights and music, and watch in silence. Crickets, frogs and birds of the night fell momentarily silent, too, as if equally as spellbound at the magic unfolding.

As the moon rose in silent majesty over the lake in front of my little house, emotions bubbled within that failed to translate into words. The shimmering path she cast across the waters’ surface, like a dazzling carpet of spun silver, richly encrusted with diamonds, was being laid out almost to my front door. For want of a better description, I felt as though just watching the scene was infusing me with something intangibly beautiful – and mournful – as though the beauty of the moment was trying to impart a message.

One could have read a book aided only by the brightness and intensity of her glow last night.

Sometimes, very early on cold mornings – and moments before the sun rises – tall, ghostly pillars of mist can be seen waltzing lazily and gracefully in pairs across the lakes’ placid, velvety, surface, while beautiful black swans look serenely on. Then the sun crests distant hills, kissing reeds and rushes on the lakes’ edge with gold, igniting a landscape blanketed in dew with sparkling gems of fire, and lays to rest the waltzing pillars of mist. It’s pure magic.

These displays of beauty and majesty fill me with as much awe as sorrow, reminding me of the loss of our own beauty and majesty – and magic.

You Are More Than This

The words fill my mind as I reflect upon last night; ‘You are more than this”. Like a promise of hope not yet lost, the tiny seeds of which lay within each of us, just waiting to be discovered, watered, nourished, and brought to life.

We’ve forgotten our majesty. We’ve handed over our sovereignty to things that don’t exist. We’ve lost our way to the idle minds of men. We’ve given up our rights and freedoms to the greed and oppression of governments, commercialism and industry. We’ve exorcized the magic within us at the decree of false and oppressive religion.

The only true religion is that of the heart” - words I spoke, in the passing of a moment, many years ago, still ring in my ears.

Dammit, we are more than this! And the only true religion is that of the heart!

When will we wake up from our living death? When will we take back all that’s rightfully ours? When will we cast out of our lives, those who sicken us and keep us bound in miserable duty? When will we nourish the magic within and blossom into all the beauty, power and majesty that we were born to be? When will we heed our hearts and remember what it is to be alive? When will we break free?

When will we remember that we are more than this?

Nine Deadly Venoms…Indeed

In his eye-opening and enlightening book, Nine Deadly Venoms, author and shamanic healer, Alex Gordon, touches on the origins of our patriarchal society. I say “touches on” because it’s just one aspect of the book, and the entirety of it left me with a whole set of burning questions, eager to learn more.  I suppose I shall just have to wait patiently, like everyone else, for his next book.

I won’t spoil it for you, except to say that, aside from his priceless sense of humour, it’s very interesting reading, delving into this patriarchal age, it’s many lies about humankind’s origins, spirituality, and evolution.  An age, in my view, that made a deliberate choice to enslave the many, for the benefit of the few.   They chose to do it through fear-mongering religions, fabricating superstitions, and using them to walk hand-in-hand with politics.  Those were, and remain, their insidious weapons of choice: religion and politics.

We truly are the most unevolved and unenlightened race in any Universe.

Let me just say that, while reading the book, I couldn’t help but feel somewhat irritated with Lilith in the way in which she dealt with Alex.  I felt she was beastly unkind at times and I can’t tell you how many of those times I wanted to throw the book at the wall and stomp away in disgust. “What’s your problem, lady?”, I’d shout at thin air, “For someone supposedly so evolved, you can’t manage a little patience and gentility in your dealings with someone who’s not? Particularly when it was your own damn choice to deal with him in the first place!

Sorry. I tend to morph into bristles and thorns with things like that; the warrior-bitch in me springs to action.

Like standing in a queue at a supermarket checkout recently. A disheveled young man being attended to, who clearly wasn’t at all well, was struggling to count out the correct amount of money, much of them coins, and seemed painfully aware of the queue building up behind him. A toxic and toothless sack of wrinkles behind me barked rudely in his general direction, “Yeah, just take yer time, won’t ya, mate?

Morphing instantly into ‘bristles-and-thorns-warrior-bitch’ – and raising myself up to every one of my ‘towering’ 5ft 3 inches – I turned to confront what I supposed was a woman, and opened my mouth to snap, “And how, exactly, is a moment longer going to ruin your entire day, madam?”  Frustratingly, a little voice in my head told me that one publicly humiliated soul was already one too many, even if this one deserved it, so I shut my mouth again and stared her down with a murderous glare instead. She, in turn, blanched as close to a shade of white as something so toxic possibly could, shrank back, and pulled her head in. Most satisfying.

That is how I felt about Lilith’s treatment of Alex several times throughout the book, but then again, not being in her position, I obviously don’t understand things from her perspective. If you find yourself feeling the same way, you won’t be alone. It is, however, most definitely worth overlooking in order to focus on the message at hand. Besides, the author obviously lived to tell the tale.

Please don’t misunderstand; I do love men. I’m not a ‘feminist’ by any means – but even I’m forced to concede the truth of the book’s message. This patriarchal age is drawing to a close, as it should have done a long time ago, and with it, its malignant unbalancing of life, its cruel, harsh, ruthless, murderous, destructive ideologies and methods, its lust for power and control at any cost.

Just my own musings, but I don’t think the death of the current patriarchal age is simply about roles being reversed and men being subjugated. I don’t think it’s about domination. I don’t even think it’s necessarily about the type of equality today’s society continues to push for. I think it’s possibly something better; perhaps even things we’ve not yet considered.

I don’t think it’s about retribution, punishment, or ‘payback’, either, although that’s not necessarily something to dismiss out of hand. This current global patriarchal regime does have a lot to answer for, and it doesn’t necessarily deserve to get off lightly.

The world will be restored to balance and with it, the annihilation of the sickening plethora of religions and cults. Religion is, after all, only a means of control – a system of lies, superstition, and oppression, which has absolutely no place in the coming matriarchal age.

I do believe the tides of change are shifting. (Yayifications!)

The Truth About The Truth

Funny old word, ‘truth’.  Possibly one of the most abused and misused in the history of human communications, right alongside the word ‘love’. How often do we examine its use in our lives – I mean, really examine it? How much does truth mean to you? What is it worth to you?

Frequently bent, sidestepped and conveniently arranged so as to make many things that aren’t truth, appear to be truth, its heavy misuse in important areas of life – religion, relationships, politics, business, etc. – is widespread, and generally not given much thought.

We know there are all sorts of lies, from the ‘little white’ variety that don’t seem to hurt anyone, to the big daddies of them all – those that lead millions of people down paths of self- destruction and ultimate misery, be they personal, emotional, spiritual, or national.

Have you ever stopped to consider all the many lies you swallow, absorb, and take on board every day of your life? Have you ever stopped to consider how insidiously they’re harming your health, gathering momentum over time? They’re toxic, like slow-release cyanide, eating at your soul, your spirit, your mind, and your body, aging and killing you, slowly but surely.

Do you question what you’re told, or just go with the flow? Do thoughts like following your heart, ‘making waves’ and upsetting the proverbial applecart, fill you with fear? Why? What are you so afraid of? What holds you back? Has living with lies become so acceptable, that you’ve forgotten they exist? Have they become a cloak hiding you from yourself, from life, from joy? Again, why?

Where is truth, and how do you know truth from lie?

It’s in your heart. Listen to it.

Yes, it’s that simple.

We’ve become so accustomed to making our hearts ‘shut up’ when it tries to tell us something doesn’t add up, that few remember how to listen to it, let alone hear it.

We do it to keep other people happy. We do it to fit in with popular thinking. We do it to conform. We do it to avoid ridicule. We do it to maintain an unhappy, but ‘serviceable’ status quo. We do it to remain in miserable jobs that pay the rent, instead of being true to our hearts and telling the boss where to shove it and finding something better. We do it because a priest/pastor/bishop told us to, whether we like it or not. We do it because we might lose financial support. We do it because we’re afraid to leave marriages and start from scratch. We lie to ourselves as much as anyone else does.

And it’s all such a sickening waste of life.

We withhold happiness to please others. We withhold happiness to please authorities. We withhold happiness to satisfy monetary needs. We do it all our lives and then die, ultimately unhappy and unsatisfied – because we were too afraid to be true to ourselves, too afraid to speak truth from our hearts and more importantly, too afraid to listen to our hearts.

If the whole world woke up tomorrow and, like the little boy in the story, “The King’s New Clothes’, saw the truth and shouted, “But the King’s not wearing any clothes!”, how remarkably and wonderfully the world would begin to change. Illusions, lies and deceptions would fall away like snow melting in the sun on a warm Spring day. Just think of all those of dishonest intent who would lose their power over us in the blink of an eye.

If you woke up tomorrow and truthfully told those around you how they affect your health and happiness and then flushed them from your life, then…..?

If you woke up tomorrow and truthfully told your priest/pastor/bishop that you disagree with his teachings and you’re now taking control of your own spirituality, then…..?

If you woke up tomorrow and truthfully told your boss what you really think of him/her, then….?

If you woke up tomorrow and truthfully told yourself, “This is it. I’m going to follow my heart from now on”, then…..?

You fill in the blanks. It’s your life, it’s your spirituality, it’s your decision. No one else’s.

Finally, if I had to choose a single item to rely on, to turn to like a light in the dark, to help me set myself free from lies and darkness, it would be the book, Nine Deadly Venoms, by Alex Gordon.  I can’t recommend it highly enough.

The back cover, in my opinion, should read, “Within these pages are the only words you’ll ever need to fly free”.

Spirituality – vs – Religion

Nargles. I can’t imagine life without that little word. In fact, I’ve absolutely no idea how my linguistic arsenal ever managed before its introduction. It’s become as much a part of my vocabulary as ”Tosser!” and ‘Yeah, I love you, too!‘ in congested traffic. You know how it goes - “You phekken nargle!”.  Road rage, much, Gabrielle?

Credit, of course, goes to the magical mind of J.K. Rowling (Luna Lovegood, Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix). *sigh* Yes, I know. I never grew up.

Technically speaking, of course, nargles are thieving little creatures with an obsession for mistletoe – infesting it wherever it’s found.  But another concept of nargles entered my thoughts: man-made, patriarchal, religion, with its human-invented gods as nargles - albeit a slightly different variety. I refer to these as ‘spiritual and religious nargles’, with an obsession for devouring, infesting and robbing humanity of its power, divinity, sovereignty and will. They’re spiritual rapists, feeding off the worship energies of humans, like leeches, in order to survive.

Be very wary of ‘worship’. It’s an important tool in the subjugation of humanity.

Spirituality and religion are not one and the same, and if you’re unable to take a step back to see the difference, then you possibly won’t understand this post. There is a difference. An enormous difference.

Spirituality seems to come with many definitions, but those including it alongside ‘religion’ and ‘piety’ are entirely misguided.  My definition of spirituality is an internal, intentional, self-willed, self-motivated, personal, deliberately-chosen, state of being, a personal and intimate relationship and connection with the energies of all life, both seen and unseen, of striving to be in balance, learning to ‘hear’, ‘see’, and ‘feel’ all of life’s energies, in all its many forms. It has nothing to do with the gods of men and it certainly does not need an institution to define, limit and dictate what it ‘should be’.

Religion is an external, man-made institution of control, financial greed, spiritual rape, spiritual lies, distortion and superstition; a very handy tool for political and religious propaganda when the two are in bed together like harlots, but entirely divorced from ‘spirituality’.

Having said that, yes, there are spiritual people within religious institutions, but they’re rare. They’re those quiet, gentle souls, able to overlook the external to see beyond the veils of lies and deception, gleaning what they need from spiritual realms, despite the interference of men. Very rare individuals, indeed.

You’ll usually know these people by their loving energies, their gentle compassion, their ability to laugh, to not take the things of men too seriously. More importantly, they’ll never lecture you about their denomination. You’ll tend to feel calm and accepted in their presence, and wish you could spend more time with them.

Religious-based and spiritual-based people are very different beasts. The former is divided and separated from his fellow human, seeking to dominate and ‘conquer’ through his denomination, whereas the latter, recognizes the interconnectedness and rightful equality of all life.

You can feel the difference between them; the former being uptight, insecure and judgemental, while the latter generates calm, comfort, gentility, the feeling of being ‘at ease’ with life, understanding its cycles and wisdom.

To Worship Is To Invite Slavery and Death

Worship, by it’s very nature, is to give away your sovereignty and your power to more than one entity. It’s a declaration of inferiority. It’s offering wholesale, unquestioning, obedience in exchange for control over every aspect of your life.

Why do so few question and examine that simple fact?

Make no mistake, your own unseen powers are great, particularly your spiritual powers and your will. To give them away, is an invitation to slavery and death. Tragically, millions don’t realize that that’s exactly what they’re doing.

When you worship, either privately, or within the setting of a religion or cult, you’re not just giving away your spiritual power, rights and your will to just one entity – you’re feeding something else entirely. While the obvious and first entity being the ‘leader’ of your organization, what about what’s behind him or her? Do you assume that your spiritual leader is all there is, save for a ‘god’ above him or her?

You’d be wrong. Any religious leader, church leader, cult leader – no matter how seemingly innocuous – is merely a puppet of something else. Most are clueless and oblivious, but should they one day wake up and discover the fact for themselves, they’ll be horrified beyond consolation.

Just because much of humanity makes the assumption that we’re the only beings in the Universe – and assumes that there’s only one Universe – doesn’t make it so. There are millions of other life forms, in millions of Universes. Including our own.

When I was a child, I’d lay down on the grass and look up at the sky, asking myself the question, “if we’re here, are there others ‘out there’?” I think a part of my child’s mind knew it to be true in order for me to have considered the question in the first place.

Whether one chooses to believe it or not, we are not alone in our Universe. Whether one chooses to believe it or not, other non-human beings do have an interest in humanity, and not always a benevolent interest. There are those whose survival depends on our energies – worship energies, in particular. No, they’re not ‘demons’ or ‘devils’; those are superstitious labels fed to humanity via thousands of years of patriarchal, religious rule. These beings are quite real. They make deals with governments, all run by gullible, greedy humans, who swallow these ‘deals’, hook, line and sinker, thinking they’ll be duly ‘rewarded’. They also ’marionette’ religious leaders, most of whom are entirely unaware.

Other life forms are no longer relegated to ‘conspiracy theories’, but reality, and it’s oh-so interesting to see tricklings of ‘ex-military’ personnel now publicly spilling the beans.

The point is, have you questioned what you’re giving your power away to lately? Can you see the nargles in action? Can you tell the difference between spirituality and religion? Are you awake, or are you asleep?

Murder, She Wrote: Religious Blood Lust is NOT ok!

Let’s call a spade a spade, shall we?   Cults like the Jehovah’s Witnesses are murderers.

And while we’re calling a spade a spade – rather than “an implement utilized in the process of upturning areas of terra firma” – the legal system, and we the public, facilitate religious blood lust by looking the other way. We justify this by saying things like, ‘live and let live’ and ‘each to their own’ and ‘freedom of religious choice’.

No. Wrong. Bad. Sick. Unevolved.

Since I know more about the JW’s than any other cult, I’m focusing on them in particular as judicially-approved murderers.

It’s no secret that receiving a blood transfusion to save your life is strictly forbidden if you’re a JW.  That’s all well and good if you’re an adult with the IQ of a toothpick, but what of the millions of children caught under such lethal oppression who don’t have a say, don’t have a voice, and aren’t allowed a choice?

Should any of them find themselves in a situation where only a blood transfusion will save their lives, that’s the point at which their lives become worthless to their parents and their cult, in favour of appeasing their god. They’re condemned to die, by order of the organization of the JW’s, the Watchtower, Bible and Tract Society.  Their little tin god clearly demands human sacrifice.   Only the mentally deficient and Artificial Intelligence, would fail to see it – and even then, I’m betting AI would at least have a clue.

It begs the question: just how many children have died needlessly at their hands?

A little research will unearth a plethora of disturbing information and complaints, like this article, “Why Did These Kids Die?”  It makes me want to vomit.  The JW’s have a new weapon of words with which to justify the murder of minors, it seems (at least in the U.S.): “mature minors”.  These “mature minors” are apparently aged from 10 and up. Those two little words are all that’s needed to get them off the hook.

I’m sorry (no I’m not) to point out the freaking obvious here, but these are crimes against humanity and the sanctity of life.  They rank up right down there with Hitler, Jack The Ripper, and other murderous scum.

And what of even younger children – babies and toddlers – where those two magical little words can’t cover the asses of idiot parents and their idiot cult?  I’m betting the murder of little ones is swiftly hushed up.  After all, it’s one thing to cop flak over the death of 10-15 year olds for your bloodthirsty god;  it’s quite another to escape the wrath of the entire world when you do it to babies.

Of course, children within the cult are mentally abused, manipulated and brainwashed at a very early age to abhor the thought of blood transfusions. Their young minds, mentally raped, distorted, lied to, and filled with images of the unspeakable horrors of “retribution” by their misogynistic, blood-thirsty, man-made god, should they disobey.  They’re made to believe that accepting a blood transfusion will make them “unclean” and “disgusting” before their god, who will “destroy them at Armageddon”. (There’s that ol’ fear-as-a-motivator they love so much!)

I know all of this because it was done to me as a child. I was expected to “please Jehovah and die”, if it came to it.  I had two choices as a child: be less terrified of dying than of what Jehovah would do to me if I didn’t actually die for lack of blood, or be terrified of the whole damn thing, either way.  Yes, I know the drill quite well.

It’s brainwashing, it’s child abuse, it’s psychological abuse, it’s spiritual rape.  There are no other words for it. Children are impressionable and will believe whatever they’re told by adults, particularly when those adults keep pounding the subject home repeatedly. What chance at life do these kids have under such an evil, brainwashing cult?

And what of the judges who deny appeals by Child Welfare agencies for protective custody to stop these murders?  They ought to be shot, hung, and shot again – just to make sure they can long longer infect the world with the disease they call ‘justice’.

They’re murdering the future.

Why are we allowing it to happen?

Christian Rapture + New Age Ascension = Spacesuit Rapture

Same ol’ bs, new packaging.

Christian and New Age pulpit-pounding-pontificators seem to share a similar ‘bottom line’ dogma, each in an attempt to gather as many followers as possible, which, history shouts at us, is ultimately about money, control, fear and confusion.

Both are rather ‘vague’ when it comes to the finer details of the wherefore’s and why-for’s of their ‘end-of-world’ dogma (ever noticed that?), but they’re always quite keen to deliver their gory punchline, in amazing, full-colour 3D-HD, which they have absolutely no difficulty ‘sharing’.

Between the Christian bottom line being their self-created, cantankerous, geriatric, misogynistic god coming to kill most of humanity because it offended his delicate sensibilities somehow, and the New Age bottom line being aliens coming to get you and/or feed off you/your energies (as their ‘human herd’), or the earth imploding, killing what survivors are left on her surface while she ‘morphs’ into a 5th dimension, it’s really just a case of, ‘Step right up, folks! Pick your delusion! For just the cost of all your worldly possessions, you too can be a part of the end of all life as we know it!

Although many New Agers (bless their little fair-trade hemp socks) will try to soften the blow somewhat by telling horrified listeners, “And that’s ok, because you’ll be exactly where you need to be - for you – at that point in time”. Huh? Well gee, thanks! We all feel so much better now.

Isn’t that all terribly interesting? Not really, no. Each camp is ultimately vying for a larger slice of the market share in the ‘gullible public commodity’, but given that we, the public, are mostly waking up and pointing these doomsday merchants in the general direction of ‘where the sun don’t shine’, they’re finding it necessary to redouble their efforts.

IT’S ALL IN THE PACKAGING

Yawn.  There’s so much bs flying around the closer we get to the ‘long and the short’ of the Mayan calendar business, that it reminds me of the ‘who-flung-dung’ jokes we had so much fun with when we were kids. I can’t believe there’s still so many otherwise sane, mature, responsible adults shutting down their reasoning faculties to invest in paranoia – and worse – that there’s actually people sitting around stoned somewhere, making all this shit up to package and sell, for people to actually get paranoid about.

It’s the same con wrapped in two different brands of packaging, and humanity, it seems, insists on grasping for straws (creating them if necessary) in an effort to invent newer and more far-fetched ways of tearing itself apart with fear. Underneath it all, it would seem that a means of escaping life in the here and now is the goal.

Why can’t folks just appreciate the awesome beauty and miracle of life as it is, right here, right now, in front of their very eyes? Why do they so stubbornly refuse to live in the here and now?

If today is ‘The Present’, why aren’t we embracing and unwrapping it with gratitude and joy?

Wasn’t it only a mere 13 years ago that the world was supposedly coming to another, slightly different type of sticky end as clocks approached midnight on 31st December, 1999? Remember how geeks, nerds and other assorted ‘nobbys nuts’ squabbled like savages amongst themselves over it?

How many ‘entrepreneurs’ made a small fortune from the whole Y2K scare campaign – and then simply vanished into the crowd to avoid the backlash?

How many are now making a small fortune out of the whole Mayan-calendar-doomsday thing? (New Agers, Christians, Scientologists, etc.). You don’t have to go too far to trip over publications, CD’s and MP3′s that “you need to purchase in order to help you get through the coming crisis”.

Let’s not even consider cults like the JW’s who, as always, remain ignorant and bloody-minded in their staunch refusal to learn from their past, embarrassing, mistakes. They continue with their doomsday predictions, which do leave them, frankly, looking a bit silly (1914, 1915, 1918, 1920, 1925, 1941, 1975, 1994). I wonder when their next ‘date with Armageddon’ will be?

(Incidentally, for those who fear the word ‘apocalypse’, it means nothing more or less than ‘the truth revealed’, not Armageddon, as many nasty little nargles would have you believe.)

So what’s with the great need to escape earth and ‘be taken away’ from it all?

Could it possibly have anything to do with the fact that we seem to keep shitting in our own nest? Could it be we’re just too bone idle to clean it up? Could it be we’re mostly just a bunch of spoiled, irresponsible adults refusing to live in the real world now that we’ve screwed it over?

Kinda like kids, really.

Ever watched a kid make such a mess in their room that, in the end, they hold out their arms, crying and screaming for mama to pluck them out and take them away from it? Much of humanity is just like that.

There IS Something Better

There is no Rapture. There is no Ascension. There is no Armageddon.  There is no Heaven for ‘good people’.  There is no Hell for ‘bad people’.

Heaven is here, in this life, on this good earth – and it’s what we choose to make of it.  Hell is how we torture our minds, with an infestation of lies about aging, death, dying, disease, guilt and fear – lies embedded so deeply within the fabric of our psyche (compliments of a patriarchal religious system), that to wake up and see them for the lies they are, is both liberating and shocking.

As for the Apocalypse, I think ‘the truth revealed’ is being revealed right now, telling us to wake up and smell the roses – we’ve been had.

There is something much better:

There’s you and me, and us and we, and they and them, and them and us, and they and we.

There’s our most beautiful, awesome, powerful, Mother Earth and Father Sun.

There’s wind and rain and sunrise and sunset to marvel at.

There’s a blanket of stars to dream and write poetry by; to point the way when we get lost.

There’s changing seasons to teach us the progression of life.

There are mountains and streams and wildlife to lift our spirits.

What more could we possibly want while walking within this, our amazing human experience?

How to Escape Cults like the Jehovah’s Witnesses

A dear soul and new friend, Jennifer Shepherd (aka The Lipstick Mystic), asked me to share a little bit about what it was like growing up in (and escaping) the Jehovah’s Witness cult, also known as the Watchtower, Bible & Tract Society.

You can view that article and a wealth of others on Jennifer’s humourous, informative, wonderful site here.

In hindsight, though, I’d lengthen my definitions (in that article) of cults to include:

Any religious-based organization teaching members they’ll be ‘beamed up into space crafts from the middle of an ocean’.

Any religious-based organization teaching members they will be the only survivors of some cataclysmic ‘future event’ because they belong to “the only true religion” and that the remaining billions of people on our lovely earth are all ‘evil’, ‘demonized’ and unworthy, and will be murdered by their hateful, petty, jealous, anal-retentive god.

Any religious-based organization dictating that members are not permitted to associate with anyone who isn’t a member of their organized little ‘club’ (other than what’s necessitated by life’s circumstances) .

Any religious-based organization dictating that members are not permitted to receive life-saving blood transfusions (socially approved murderers, enabled by a justice system that won’t dirty its hands by getting involved).

Any religious-based organization demanding entire families become polygamous (do their reasons why even matter?)

Any religious-based organization that demands women must be ‘castrated’, treated like animals, and kept repressed, suppressed, ignorant and uneducated.

In essence, these religious-based organizations do not recognize the interconnectedness of all life (I said ‘interconnectedness’ not mob-mentality), nor do they recognize the Creative and the Sovereign in each being. They believe in ‘separateness’, ‘religious superiority’ and are of the “us versus them” belief system.

Though some may argue with my definitions of ‘cult’, I believe (if I may be not-so-humble here) that I’ve pretty well nailed it. And further, as stated in the first article, all religions could rightfully be labeled ‘cult’, by mere virtue of their teachings of a ‘supreme God who metes out death and judgment and decides whether they’re worthy of heaven or hell for all eternity” – or whatever else their ‘bottom line’ is. Bullshit.

WHERE WAS I WHEN I NEEDED ME?

In the previous post I talked about ‘Holy Rollers in Armani Suits and their Hallelujah Brigades’. I shudder now to think I ever entered their ‘houses of worship’, thinking I might find spiritual truth there, but I also know it was a valuable education in the darker side of human nature, human behaviour. It opened my eyes to the blatant exploitation and manipulation of genuine seekers of spiritual truths and experiences, and to the chilling willingness of trusting seekers, to give away their own spiritual energy, power, sovereignty, and divinity.

I didn’t know it back then, but what I’d been searching for my entire life, wasn’t ‘out there’ in churches, religions, cults, or ‘up there’ in the vague, general direction of the sky. It wasn’t in another person, a relationship, libraries full of books, or schools. It was in the mirror, every morning, staring me in the face. ‘It’ was ‘me’, and I’d been there right with me, every painful, heartbreaking, soul-destroying, educational, step of the way.

I’m still getting to know ‘me’. It’s not an overnight process, but one thing is absolutely certain – I’ve returned to my free-flowing, unfettered, spiritual roots – the rhythm of life, the heartbeat and nurturing of Mother Earth, the pulsing warmth and breath of life of Father Sun. I’ve dug my bare feet deep into warm soil, proud and unapologetically the happy ‘heathen’ I was always born to be. I’ve come home to me.

 CAN YOU ESCAPE?

Well, yes, of course, but there’s no escape unless there’s first doubt, and there’s rarely doubt, without the desire to escape. The two seem to work hand-in-hand.

If you’re reading this, then perhaps you’re having doubts, or you’ve just broken free, still finding your ‘sea legs’, and looking for encouragement that you did the right thing (oh, you most definitely did!).

Perhaps you need help shaking free those dreadful ‘fears’ (aka ‘lies’) they’ve brainwashed you with. You know the ones – they go something a bit like this:

“You’ve done it now. You pissed off god so he’s coming to get you – just as soon as he’s finished beating the shit out of all those non-church-goers last Sunday from all over the world, who belong to all those other religions that aren’t “the one true religion“, like yours, but still, he’s pissed at them, too. Shouldn’t take too long to wipe them out with a bolt of lightening first – and how dare they not attend the churches your god doesn’t believe in anyway? Sinners, one and all! Now don’t go away – in fact, go stand in the corner and wait – because He’s coming to ‘deal with you’ shortly!”

Sounds both comical and familiar, doesn’t it?

INDOCTRINATION OF FEAR

You might be cringing right now, wondering how I can be so blasé and disrespectful, right? I’ve stood on that very brink where you stand now and I can promise you that there’s absolutely nothing worthy of ‘respect’ in any cult. Although my instincts as a child and teen rebelled against religious bullshit, their indoctrination of fear, repetitiously pounded into one’s mind like affirmations, still worked their way into the deeper recesses of my young mind – something I wasn’t aware of until I actually broke free.

‘BREATHE THE FREE AIR AGAIN, MY FRIEND”

But you can’t arrive at this point unless there’s a chink in your armor first, and that chink is your doubt, busy at work as your inner ‘blacksmith’, building your key to freedom.  And it’s a big key, let’s face it.

You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t wanting to find a way out, if you didn’t already have doubts. And then you saw the mountain you face in breaking free. FEAR is it’s name. Just be warned (and this in no way is intended to scare you off your course, by any means!) that sometimes, unfortunately, freedom comes with a price. Although the price may sting emotionally (losing friends or relatives over your decision), they are temporary wounds. It truly is worth every tear.

To quote Gandalf, after freeing King Theoden from Saruman’s control, “Breathe the free air again, my friend”. And that’s exactly how it will feel the day you finally break free. Although there’s no Gandalf to do it for you, as there was for Theoden, there are others who’ve gone before you, and who stand here now, on the other side, to comfort, encourage and cheer you on. This is something that, initially, we each must do alone. It has to come from within.

To begin entertaining doubts about what you’ve been hooked into, is to set the wheels in motion towards freedom.  All that’s really left to do now is to make the decision to put the key in the lock and turn it.

QUESTION, DIG, RESEARCH

You may find it helpful to start asking a few simple questions – just to yourself.  Research the answers. You’ll find common sense returning as you begin gleaning some interesting background information into your cult or religion. Knowledge is, indeed, power, and in this situation, self-empowering.

The important thing to remember is that, without that hint of doubt, there’s no ‘chink’ in the armor you’ve been encased in; no awareness at all that you’re entombed and imprisoned. Each religious ‘captive’ remains entombed in their zombie state, at the beck and call of their ‘leader’, until their own doubts begin creeping in.

This is why it’s impossible to forcibly set someone free, to ‘wake them up’. You cannot wake a zombie. They’re tightly held in the thrall of illusion, bound in chains of fear. To even try, is an exercise in futility, because without the ‘chink’ in their own armor, they will fear you, see you as ‘the enemy’, and flee back to whence they came – their cult.

In doing a little research into your cult/religion, you might be shocked to discover that a mere mortal formed it, created it, and developed his own rules and regulations with which he would govern your entire life.  Adding insult to injury, he’s financially milking you to keep himself in a comfortable lifestyle – but who thinks to challenge that?  It was his choice to form the damn church – why can’t he have a day job and support himself?

Why? Do some digging to find the answers.  Where did they they come from?   What was their story and agenda?. You won’t find truthful answers within your cult or religion; you will have to look at what’s presented by independent sources of information with an open mind.

The answers may surprise you, they will be illuminating, and you will feel the chains that bind begin to loosen, just by discovering its origins.

In my own instance, there wasn’t the benefit of home computers or the internet back then (the 80′s). instead, I’d had a personal ‘moment of revelation’, I suppose you could call it; I was mopping my floors one day, minding my own business, not thinking about anything in particular, when a thought suddenly occurred to me:

The Jehovah’s Witness cult was started by a human. He was no different from any other human who starts a cult or religion for their own purposes and gathers followers like trophies.”

Although it had been some 15 years since I’d left the JW’s behind when that ‘revelation’ occurred, there were still vestiges of deeply implanted fears, still dug in like ticks, and I’d not been able to pluck them out.  But on that day, that simple ‘revelation’, pulled the last of them from me, and I was – finally and completely – free.

You can do this! You want to do this, or you wouldn’t be here right now.

Life, freedom and joy awaits you.

Cults & Religions: The Red Pill, or the Blue?

Some things I’m going to say may seem like shocking heresy, but I’ve been through the wringer once (childhood spent in a cult, which you’re welcome to read in detail at The Lipstick Mystic). The spin cycles that came later were a piece of cake by comparison (sampling other organized religions). If I’ve done my job correctly, it should sound like ‘shocking heresy’.

I’m going to start by pushing the envelope a little bit here and preface this post with the suggestion that most, if not all, religions are cults in their own way – that there’s just varying degrees of severity separating them.

If you haven’t fainted from that statement, well done you, but if you’re struggling to comprehend how I could make such a provocative comment, then please let me ask you to grab a cuppa, a beer, a tea, a vino, a bourbon, a hot chocolate, a Coke – whatever floats your boat – pull up a chair, and let us reason together. This may take a while.

Please bear in mind that I don’t have all the answers. I’m a ‘cult escapee’.  Whilst freed of the cult that tortured my childhood, I’m still fumbling about a little bit, still extricating myself from all the other tangled lies of men (meaning humanity in general, not the male sex, per se) and their need to control, dominate and bleed the weak dry by any means possible, keeping the many enslaved to the few.

But, if I may, I’d like to share with you what I’ve learned along the way, the thinking processes/experiences that drew me to the conclusions I’ve now reached, and which ultimately helped me break free of some of the worst of them.

Qualifiers: The Red Pill, Or The Blue Pill?

Does your particular religion teach that your God is going to either take you to heaven or hell when you die, depending on how good or bad you’ve been? (the mild end of the scale > blue pill).

Does it teach that you mustn’t think for yourself, or ask questions or do any research into what what you’re taught, not to read your holy book alone and unsupervised, and not to associate with anyone who doesn’t belong to your religion? (enter oppression, stage right > red pill)

Or that your God is going to ‘destroy’ everyone on earth who doesn’t belong to your religion? (Whoa! Harsh! > red pill)

Or that your God is going to suddenly appear one day and catch you up in a ‘rapture’ to take you away from all this drudgery and live with him in heaven, where everything is perfect? (Trippin’! You totally took the blue pill, don’t lie!)

Or that our beautiful earth is going to end in this ’3rd dimension’, as it struggles to ‘morph’ itself into ‘the 5th, and that little < insert any color of the rainbow here > men are going to take some of you away in spaceships? (too many episodes of Star Trek under your belt > blue pill)

Or that there’s going to be a ‘face-off’ on earth between a God and a Devil and most will die in the fray, some will be ‘raptured’ up by their God, some will be left behind to suffer worse fates, and that only those who belong to your particular religion and died, will be brought back from the dead to ‘live forever’? (Will you stop reading the Left Behind Series, for goodness sakes?! > red pill)

Or that your religion is “the only one true religion” and that it’s just too bad for those who never knew that, because they’re going to be chased down and murdered by your God for picking the wrong one? (yeah, ok, you can turn off “I Know What You Did Last Summer”, too > red pill)

Or that you’re going to receive an unheard-of number of ‘virgins’ to play with when you die? (you took the blue pill, didn’t you, you horny little bastard?)

If you answered yes to one or more of those basic questions then, I’m sorry, but you’re hooked into a cult, you definitely swallowed one of those pills – and you’ve been right royally screwed over, short-changed, and ripped off.

Don’t feel bad, I did too. Many have. Even after escaping one of the worst cults known to humanity (the JW’s), I still searched high and low, looking for ‘spiritual truth’, thinking it was somewhere ‘outside of me’, always just out of reach.  And so, still searching, I entered various other Christian-brand religions, to see if they held the answers. They didn’t. Not a single one.

Simple, Profound, Words

It took me several more years before it dawned upon me that what I’d been searching for was, in fact, me….which is really, really, ironic, now that I think about it, because 26 years ago, my partner and I were playing around with metaphysical concepts, when I briefly ‘channeled’ an unknown, passing entity, who said, “the only true religion is that of the heart”.

That strikes me now, all these years later, as rather profound, because it’s meaning was lost on me back then. Alex Gordon discusses that in his book, Nine Deadly Venoms; feelings are truth, the only pure, honest form of ‘language’ (to paraphrase).

The tongue can lie, the mind can lie, but the heart cannot.

My guy takes issue with that comment; he’s of the view that our hearts, and therefore, our emotions, can be deceived by our minds. Yes, I can see where he’s coming from, but I stand by my statement, because our hearts, and therefore emotions, accurately reflect the content of our thoughts.

We are, like it or not, the products of habitual thinking. The buck stops with us. If our thoughts are heavy, burdened and dark, our hearts will accurately reflect that. The heart does not lie. Otherwise, you might as well say mirrors always lie.

The heart can be muffled and suppressed from expressing itself, yes, as with insincerity and bold-faced lies, but it simply cannot lie.

A loved one dies, our hearts reflect our thoughts of sorrow; it’s not a lie. We discover we’ve been lied to, our hearts reflect our thoughts of anger; it’s not a lie. We discover our trust has been betrayed; our hearts reflect our thoughts of pain; it’s not a lie. We’re tumbling over and over in a car that’s skidding and rolling off the road and heading down an embankment, our hearts express the terror of thoughts of impending death; it’s not a lie.

And when we willingly choose to focus on things of a negative nature for the purposes of entertainment, or just because we’re bored and not paying attention, our hearts will accurately reflect them with the corresponding emotions.

If we think and say one thing, but mean another (insincerity/lying), our hearts won’t let us rest easy for it, because we’ve prevented them from expressing the truth and opened a can of worms, finding that we now have to keep the lie/insincerity going. It’s a pain in the ass and just not worth it, if you ask me.

Not that we should be ‘happy, happy, happy’ constantly, because it’s artificial, unrealistic and kind of – well, dumb – it’s a lie – and I could slap anyone who plays the ‘Glad Game’ 24/7; they’re living in denial and expect you to, as well.

But, I digress.

My partner and I decided to ‘try out’ a small, suburban Catholic Church one Sunday – he’d been raised a Catholic, and I was semi-interested in learning more about Catholicism. We entered shortly before the service commenced. There were only a handful of people inside, the atmosphere seemed ‘pleasant’ to me, and we settled in.

In that moment of ‘pleasant’ vibes, I saw a golden shaft of light come bursting through the ceiling and shine down near the pulpit. When I say ‘golden’, I mean ‘golden’, not ‘sun yellow’ – golden. It seemed gentle, to me, like a curious, inquisitive, innocent, affectionate child. There were no windows above, it was a solid, very high ceiling, but yet here was this big, golden, shaft of light coming straight through it.

Apparently, I was the only one to see this curious and awesome sight and I watched quietly, anticipating something super-spiritual and amazing about to happen. My heart was pounding with excitement in the surrealism of the moment.

Right about then, an attendant came round with the ‘donations plate’ and when the first coin of the day shattered the tranquil atmosphere, clattering rudely into the metal bowl – bam! – the golden shaft of light blinked out, and didn’t return. Did I get the feeling that money was somehow ‘wrong’ in that environment, or at least, the way in which it was approached?  Yep. ‘Something’ definitely wasn’t happy about it.  I’ve never forgotten that day.

In the car after the service, I told my partner what I’d seen and shortly thereafter, those words came from my mouth that I wouldn’t understand for another 26 years, “the only true religion is that of the heart.”

Holy Rollers in Armani Suits & the Hallelujah Brigade

These, too, I consider dubious: the ‘hallelujah brigade’, with their holy roller pastors (yes you – you know who you are, you rat bastards – we all do) who slip into bed with politicians in order to influence government policies, live in mansions, drive Mercs, wear Rolex watches and Armani suits, with big, flashy gold rings on their fat fingers, yelling, ‘The Holy Spirit’s in the house tonight!‘ as though they’re suddenly a black American 50′s rocker (comical when it’s coming from a sweaty, unfit, obese, pasty-white, middle-aged Aussie bloke), coaxing worshipers to give up their last dollar to the collection plate being passed around by an army of attendants – yet again, for the second time this service (‘under holy inspiration!‘) – with all the greasy smoothness of a used car salesman, while upbeat, frenzied musicians on stage – his partners in crime – are coaxing a veil of illusion over your common sense with their pulsing, enticing, music that smoothly toys with your emotions, until your common sense actually becomes so pissed off and disgusted, it abandons you and storms out the door, leaving you to your stupidity with the rest of the zombies, now broke, and unable to eat until the next pay cheque. (Can you say ‘gullible’?)

Here’s another scenario, same church:  a young father with 3 small children under the age of 6, finds himself in sudden and urgent, dire need.  It was the weekend, so all government departments and services were closed.  Out of sheer desperation, he approached this particular ‘Hallelujah Brigade’ for charity.  They were only around the corner – one of those enormous, flashy, Pentecostal Assemblies of God joints, somewhere in the southern suburbs of South Australia.

What did they give him?  A small box with a few dented tins of food (all inedible).  For example, a tin of tomatoes and two of veggies, a packet of pre-made spicy pasta, a bottle of tomato sauce (ketchup) and a couple of other inedible and unsuitable items for toddlers – all of which were – wait for it – no less than 2 years out of date

Oh yeah, baby, gimme big helpings of that Christian love and charity you quack about from your pulpit!  Assholes.

And if, per chance, you happen to have fallen upon financially hard times, and aren’t particularly young, single, blonde, or attractive (whether male or female), with a definite sense of fashion and ‘style’, then the ‘holy rollers’ running the show won’t make an effort to get to know you. They certainly won’t invite you to their home, particularly if you drive an ‘old bomb’.

The more I witnessed going on in churches like those, the more my disgust was elevated to new heights.

As the ‘pastor’ – the holy roller – of this two-bit, Pentecostal, Assemblies of God church put it to his congregation one day, “I’m a prosperity teacher, I don’t want you parking your old bomb in front of my mansion on the hill – it makes a bad impression!”. (I still can’t believe the entire congregation found that terribly funny and laughed their heads off.  I know this because I attended – briefly – and was there that day. That sermon was the last straw – and the last day – I ever attended another man-made church of any variety).

So, Jesus was a prosperity teacher, was he?  Really?  So, you mean to tell me that if someone didn’t have a flashy, gleaming chariot back in his day, and designer silk robes, he wouldn’t permit them to visit him at his home, because their old bomb would betray their financial status, which would, in turn, have been a public embarrassment to Jesus in front of his neighbours?

And entertaining and befriending prostitutes is ok (in typically hypocritical Christian lip-service and theory only, of course), but being financially poor and driving an old bomb is something to be ashamed of? Seriously

Jesus Only Loves You if You’re Blonde, Stylish, or a Rock Musician (preferably all 3)

My, my! You learn something new every day. And to think I clearly missed those scriptures when I read the bible (Old and New Testaments, both King James Version and NIV) from cover to cover – not once, but three times!

Those ‘holy roller’ pastors sure do know how to accept the offerings you can’t afford readily enough; offerings that keep them in very luxurious, very comfortable, tax-free, lifestyles. Just don’t expect them to actually socialize with you if you’re not of their financial ‘ilk’.

I’m truly sorry to rain on your parade, and really don’t want to slap you in the face so cruelly, but there’s really no other way to put this, other than to say – they’re laughing at you, all the way to the bank.  These are sycophants we’re talking about here; spiritually dead psychic vampires and financial leeches with political agendas. They feed off the emotional frenzy they create in their ‘houses of worship’, sucking the very soul out of you.

God is not there. Something darker is. Much, much darker. “Sheep in wolves clothing” comes to mind. What the ‘masses’ follow, should be viewed from a distance, with caution, and not joined in foolish abandon if you value your spiritual, moral and mental health.

For the Holy Rollers and their Hallelujah Brigades, it’s all about being stylish and attractive for their upcoming ‘rapture’ (y’know, like the JW ‘Armageddon’ that consistently and inconveniently – for them – never arrives?).

Apparently, Jesus only loves shapely, single blondes, young rock musicians, and wealthy, portly, middle aged, fast-talking, anal-retentive, dishonest, ‘holy roller’ pastors – and if you’re not wearing Dior, Gucci, or Lagerfeld when the rapture comes, then you just won’t make the cut, I’m sorry.

Which pill did you take?

Stay tuned  for the next riveting instalment…
